Wadi Bani Khalid
We depart Muscat, we drive towards Wadi Bani Khalid. This is one of the biggest and most beautiful wadis that Oman is famous for. The wadi canyon is impressive, with its amazing steep walls and breathtaking crystal-clear water pools it is awesome to look at on its own. However, one can also enjoy a swim in the relaxing cool freshwater pool or just sunbathe. The wadi is so grand that you can even have the chance to walk deeper right into the wadi itself or maybe visit its hidden caves.
Wahiba Sands
we drive towards Wahiba Sand Desert. we will visit a traditional Bedouin house where we can try Omani coffee and , also you can ride Camel and drive to the dunes and take lots of photos. Then after we will watch Sunset at the top of the dunes. ten after the sunset we will drive back to muscat.

5.00Beautiful experience in the Omani desert. It’s fine for a quick visit and to see sunset (beautiful). For a complete experience I would recommend a 2 day trip. Special mention to our guide Khalid, very professional and welcoming.

5.00We did a day trip from Muscat with Ahmed Alghammari and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our first stop was Wadi Bani Khalid, where we enjoyed the beautiful turquoise pools and had plenty of time to walk around and take in the scenery. In the afternoon, we continued to the Wahiba Sands Desert. Ahmed drove us through the dunes to a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The timing was perfect, and we never felt rushed. There was enough time to enjoy both locations.

5.00I highly recommend this experience with this tour company, Sunset Tours Oman and our amazing guide Yousef, who made it extra special. As tourists we had a simple idea based on our research and we wanted to experience the desert and activities, and of course it was a last minute idea. We got in touch with the tour company to inquire about this package and I was impressed with their responsiveness and also transparency into what could work best for us given that we were asking for above and beyond activities like dune bashing that carried their own considerations. We appreciated the owner himself helping advise us before we booked the trip and his attentiveness throughout. Further, we were able to add a trip to Wadi Bani Khalid to our itinerary, which added an impressive oasis to round out our trip to the desert. The communication and flexibility in booking this trip has been outstanding and a big factor in why we selected this company. Fast forward, the day of the trip we were picked up in our hotel in Muscat by our tour guide Yousef, who greeted us with warmth and throughout the trip we observed him to be professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. With Yousef, we got to experience first hand the Omani hospitality and learned more about the culture and history on our way to our destination. The benefit of having an experienced and local as your tour guide is that he knows his stuff, so much so that we were so impressed he never used GPS throughout the trip including knowing his way around the sharqiya desert and the bidiyah sands. The ride was long but comfortable since Yousef made sure we had everything we needed throughout. He took an interest in making sure we maximized on our time there, recommending photography opportunities and food options. Overall, we had a great time and as an added bonus we were happy to support an Omani local business. I highly recommend Yousef and the great team at Sunset Tours Oman!

5.00Best day ever- great customised Trip with a highly professional guide who Made this day something very special to us. We saw camels, swam in a Wadi, had the most fun driving through the desert and saw an amazing sunset. Great explanations about history and culture along the way by Khalid.

5.00Our tour guide Khalid was very accommodating and patient with us, handling our kids and requesting for pit stops and what nots to cater to the kids. He also shared bite sized info along the way. Glad we selected a tour with the company and crossed paths with him!

5.00We had a great day visiting Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahaiba Sands. Our guide and driver Ali was extraordinary in safe driving and explaining us countryside and about Omani culture and habits. We had a very good day with fun and a lot to see and a beautiful sunset. Time planning was perfect and price very good. We highly recommend this trip and our guide Ali. 5.00We had a truly amazing experience. Our tour guide Ali was just superb. He was extremely professional and had fantastic local knowledge. Also, he took care of us and made sure that we are comfortable and well fed and hydrated throughout the trip. He got us some home made tea which was just phenomenal. I highly recommend going with Ali. He also knew the best of the spots. The trip finalized very last minute by us but the agency handled everything smoothly and managed to organise a great experience for us. The trip was affordable and great for its price. As it was a half day trip, we weren't expecting to cover a lot but were really happy to see the sites because of amazing time management by Ali. Highly recommended.

5.00The trip was very well organised with clear contact before and a prompt pick up. Our guide Fauzi was excellent in every way. His driving, his command of English, his knowledge, his love for Oman and his overall friendliness made the day very special and gave us memories to last a lifetime.

5.00I had an amazing experience on the desert safari trip! The dune bashing was thrilling, and the driver was very professional and made us feel safe. The sunset views were beautiful, and the camel ride and sandboarding were fun additions. Overall, it was a memorable and well-organized trip. Highly recommended!
