  There is a lot of time on the bus...We could have walked and seen more. We would have liked to see inside the theatre and had more time at the gold museum.

  I appreciated the fact that a shuttle picked us up at the hotel to take us to the tour meeting point, but I did not find the pick up time clearly indicated in any of the correspondence. That caused some confusion. Also, of our group of approximately 13, only three of us spoke English. That meant that the commentary needed to be done twice, which was clunky. I did enjoy the sites we visited and was perfectly fine with the short amount of time allotted to each just to give us a taste. And the traditional lunch was quite good. However, with the exception of a good summary of some of the history of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, almost no commentary was given while we were in the bus. I would have enjoyed hearing more about the history of both San Jose and Costa Rica, and it would have been nice to know something about the areas of town we were driving through. We passed a gorgeous huge cemetery, and I had to specifically ask the guide about it.

  Guide was very kind. Knowing the area a true walking tour was possible and would have enhanced the experience and our knowledge of the city.

  Edgar's guide was great, explained everything especially the history of Costa Rica. We had Spanish and English speakers so everything was duplicated but it didn't distract. Lunch was great.

  Good overview of relevant sights to visit. Very good included lunch at local “soda” - a restaurant .

• Delightful day learning about a beautiful, culturally rich city. Hector was a knowledgeable and capable tour director.

  Very informative, tour director, Hector gave us an incredibly well presented history of Costa Rica and led us through cultural sites as well as the amazing San Jose market. I was definitely motivated to read more about Costa Rica.
