Led by the renowned Gullah Geechee storyteller Sistah Patt, this tour offers a deep dive into the rich and complex tapestry of our city's past, highlighting the struggles, resilience, and enduring contributions of those who fought for equality and justice.
This isn’t just a history tour—it’s a powerful exploration of human spirit and perseverance. Experience the sights and stories where West African slaves first arrived, where they were held, and where they were sold. Visit significant locations like River Street, Factors Walk, Johnson Square, and Laurel Grove Cemetery, each site offering a poignant connection to our shared history.
Over the course of 2 to 2.5 hours, weather and traffic permitting, this tour will not only honor the past but also inspire a renewed commitment to a more just and inclusive future.
