As the tour begins from our stables, riding along a hidden out of the way path, will be leading to the black sand beach of Monolithos. Continuing riding along on the secluded beach, unobstructed sea views, blue waters and white cliffs will accompany you throughout the way. Evergreen vineyards that are meticulously weaved in a basket like form will surround you as you approach the tranquil plain. Riding back through the volcanic ravines, and passing through natural caves, there will be a shortstop for picture taking at a small picturesque traditional church. As we make our way back with our horse and wonderful memories, we finish off at the stables enjoying a glass of homemade wine surrounded by aromatic citrus trees. By visiting our farm, you will have the opportunity to meet with Vangelis, the owner of the animals who has combined his passion and love of nature and horses bringing about this establishment. You will be pleasantly surprised to explore his farm and try his homemade wine.

1.00While I understand animals can be unpredictable, this ride was not what we expected. They were well kept but 3 out of the 4 horses we rode freaked out and took off! Thankfully, everyone managed to stay on their horse and there were no serious injuries. One of the horses ran up a hill towards a branch and the rider put her arm up to shield her face, she had never ridden before and received no instruction on how to control the horse (she was tethered to one of the hosts for most of the ride but no instruction once released). The hosts barely spoke English and were not very friendly although they did provide band-aids and bad homemade wine at the end. We were very disappointed as this was the excursion we were most excited about but at the end we were just glad it was over!

1.00The horses had sores on their heads and on their hips. They were skinny. They weren’t well taken care of. I was under the impression that we were going to go along the black sanded beach and then said we went through a sandpit with trash everywhere. We did go on the side of beach to get to the sand pits. But it was not as it was described. I wasn’t impressed and I felt bad for the horses The older gentleman was very nice and sweet.

5.00The wonderful experience. The guys were very patient and nice. They locked up our bags and keys in a security box. Thus leaving our hands free for the reigns. The held onto our phones and stopped on the beach to take pictures for us. Highly recommend!
