This is a small group full-day tour from Bucharest to Transylvania on a very picturesque route through the Carpathian Mountains allowing you to discover two of the most beautiful Romanian castles - Peles Castle & Bran (Dracula's) Castle - as well as the city of Brasov in south Transylvania.

Please note that we operate this tour with small groups (maximum 16 people)

Please put a note in your reservation if you require an audio guide (Italian, Spanish or French)

At least 2 people are required for this activity to take place. If the minimum number of people is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

From the 1st of August 2024, Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, we will see the Peles Castle from outside & the gardens and we will spend more time in Brasov.

The order of the visits depends on the season, weather & the opening hours.

Not recommended for people with impaired mobility.

The trip was extremely long. I would suggest seeing the two castles and not Barsov. We only had 1.5 hours in Barsov which is just barely enough to eat a meal. Barsov seemed like a nice town to visit but not that short of a time. Add Barsov when the highway infrastructure allows for a quicker trip.

Excellent trip, the guide Serban was fantastic and knew all the history of the area and more, WhatsApp instructions to meet were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Great trip as long as the wait at Peles Castle is not 2-3 hours. We still had to wait for at least an hour. We also enjoyed Brasov very much. The Dracula’s castle was a disappointment compared to Peles. Our tour guide Laura kept everyone on schedule, which I totally appreciated. She has tons of knowledge and speaks English fluently. The van looked brand new and the driver was also friendly and funny. They both made the long trip less agonizing. Maybe start the trip early to avoid traffic and long wait at Peles, eg, 7 am?

Peles castle was absolutely amazing! So beautiful and ornate. Getting inside is tough. The lines aren't that long but they move SLOW and it’s a little chaotic. Totally worth the wait though. Brasov was beautiful. Bran castle was very cool. Unfortunately it started pouring while we were there so we had to cut the trip short and couldn’t walk the gardens and market area. Our tour guide, Laura, was fantastic! Very pleasant and knowledgeable and moved us along very nicely. She knew how to work the lines at Peles to get us in as best she could. Our driver, Pete, was great at getting us around. Definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent trip to see 2 stunning castles. It was a very long day with pickup at 0740 and we did not get back till 2045 however both the castles and Brasov are well worth the visit. The only annoyance was the long queue at Peles and the castle seems to get far more visitors than it can cope with however our guide and driver were excellent and gave us so much information re the region and the history of Romania and the castles themselves.
