  The tour is more like 13 1/2 hours not 12 hours. There is not enough time in Brasov to eat and see anything, you have to choose between the two activities. Nick was our first bus driver and he was very good and careful. The bus broke down and the bus and driver were replaced. Damian was our second driver and was a speed demon. Both my two girlfrends and myself were worried about getting nto an accident the whole time that Damian was behind the wheel because he was speeding (we sat behind his seat and could see his speed), he drove aggressively (tailgating) and had his eyes off the road and on his phone too many times. Dracula's castle was not worth the drive, the first castle on the tour was great but Dracula's castle was more hype than anything worthwhile to see.

  Very professionally managed, guide was very knowledgeable. They even took care of sufficient nature which is important on a 12 hour tour.

  Interesting excursion. Buy fast lane ticket for Dracula palace. Organizers: please ask your guide to have the flag raised at assembly point especially at departure. Was not convenient in the morning to run asking where is the bus. Unfortunately i had to pay twice the ticket at dracula palace because the machine link didnt work.

  I traveled solo and it was a good experience. Besides Transylvania, I had no idea about any other locations in Romania or the history. It was very informative and I’m glad I was able to participate. I liked that I didn’t have to worry about how to see these places on my own.

• Great history and views, not so great transphobic, homophobic misogyny from the guide.

  Pros: A great way to see more of Romania than you would just staying in the city. Transylvania is beautiful. The castles may be crowded/being renovated but still a cool experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and it was cool to have stories from someone who lived through the communist years with their family. Cons: The guide, Roberto, is a homophobic, transphobic misogynist and wants everyone to know it. It could be dead silent in the car and he would start talking about how awful gay people are out of absolutely nowhere. I eventually tried to change the subject, bringing up how I learned in one castle that Princess Ileana became a nun. Roberto's response: "I know, and she was so pretty. What a waste!" When I didn't laugh at these awful statements, Roberto said things like "We have free speech now so I can say what I think" (Free speech means you aren't imprisoned for most speech, not that you should unleash hateful diatribes at your van full of tourists). He also said on multiple occasions, "But this is just between us! Don't put it in the review!" I'm not sure why a professional tour guide would think that it was appropriate to randomly spew hurtful and hateful speech to strangers. But I know I wish I had known about this before signing up for his tour, and especially before taking the front seat on his suggestion. It was a very, very uncomfortable day.
