It is a very complete excursion but I recommend that you leave with the entrances to the castles taken beforehand and Bran Castle with the access without queue because it is a very busy program

It was a very long day but an amazing trip. Olitia, our travel guide was great and very knowledgeable. She explained a lot about România, their traditions and the palaces. Braşov city center was very beautiful

The price you pay on viator is only for the bus, they will then charge you 50 lei each for the actual “tour.” The “tour” was a dude on the mic in the bus talking for a couple of minutes about Dracula. He didn’t talk to us at all about Peles and most of the info was restaurant or tourist attraction recommendations (all basic top 5 google results). The rest of the money we paid was for him to rush us at each stop and speak at length about how we need to buy fast passes at Bran because of the length of the line. He was right, the 300 lei the 2 of us spent on fast passes were necessary because he only gave us 1 hour and 45 minutes at Bran (even though we had a full 2 hours to sit around in Brasov). Spending all of this money and travelling all of this way to have to jog through Bran and not even stop to read the artifact descriptions was heartbreaking. We barely had time for the torture chamber and had to skip the tunnel in order to make the bus (both extras included in the exorbitantly priced fast pass tickets). After all of this, the bus pulled over for half an hour at a gas station 30 minutes out of Bucharest. We were told that it’s policy and we had to stop, which is fine, but the general issue is the tone of voice used for communication and the lack of transparency. Timeline issues and traffic are to a certain extent out of the tour’s control, but guide effectiveness, kindness, and transparency are not. My recommendation is to book a local train to Brasov and stay a night, from where you can organize yourself to give yourself enough time at each thing you’d like to see. If you need to book a day trip, this is fine, but be aware that the prices add up and there is no actual tour. 2 stars for the bus, which was an exquisite air conditioned Mercedes- best nap of my life (good thing I paid so much for it).

The tour is a minimum 12 hours. Most of it traveling to the three destinations. Once at your destinations you do not have much time. To us the tour seemed rushed at the stops.

Visiting the castles and Braşov was great and our guide Eugen was very good, but the company could improve procedures. There were 4 buses loading at almost the same time and location in the morning and none of the guides had signs to direct people to which boarding area was theirs. And it felt like we had no choice but to buy the tickets from the guide (paying a bit more) since the directions said they couldn’t tell us which stop would be first. Viator could also do better since the trip I booked well in advance (and with a discount for multiple bookings) was cancelled one day before and they did not reach out to help me rebook or offer a similar discount. We ended up paying more for the outing and for the tickets than the other company advertised.
