Monterey Bay is one of the greatest places in the world to find whales and with the added bonus of a sunset viewing in the summer/fall months, you can't go wrong! Each tour is narrated by a Naturalist/Marine Biologist onboard who can find the wildlife, tell you fascinating facts about the animals, and answer all of your questions! Our boats are smaller in order to provide a more intimate and personal experience for all of our guests.

-2.5-3 hour tour

-Snacks, sodas, water, beer/wine available onboard for purchase

-Whales, dolphin, sea lions, sea otters, sea birds, and other wildlife are all possibilities

What To Expect

CHECK-IN 30-45 MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE Parking Address: 245 Washington Street, Monterey, CA 93940 (must pay for parking before leaving your vehicle at the pay stations or the ParkMobile App) From the parking lot, walk to 66 Fishermans Wharf. We are the BLUE building called Discovery Whale Watch. Join us for an evening tour exploring the Monterey Bay as we search for incredible marine life! Our primary focus is on whales, but other possibilities include: dolphin, sea lions, sea otters, and sea birds. Conclude the tour with an amazing view of the sunset over the water. Beer & wine are available onboard for purchase.

The trip was good as a whole. The guides was very knowledgable. We did see a few whales whilst at sea which was great but was advertised as sunset and that started AFTER we got back. So that was a little disappointing.

Captain JJ, Andrew and Corey were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They really made this a wonderful experience. They helped to ensure that everyone was able to see the whales and gave excellent information about their habitat and habits. Our sunset tour was cancelled due to bad weather but the transfer to an alternative was simple and dealt with courteously. A full refund was offered but we really wanted the tour and were really glad we did. We saw lots of whales and had a really great time. Take sickness tablets! Several people were unwell!

All the folks working the boat were super friendly and happy to talk whale and wildlife with you. Our day was a little rough- so be prepared with wet weather gear and Dramamine! Because of the waves, didn't feel comfortable taking our phone out to get a snap, but we saw a lot of humpback whales! Totally enjoyed it!!
