This is the only hiking tour that explores the hidden laurel forest above Masca — a unique route unknown to most visitors. It combines panoramic views of Teide and Masca with a walk through an enchanted, mist-filled forest, accessible only with a guide.

We offer hotel pickup, a picnic in a nature, and a photo package (20–40 photos in a good quality). The route crosses several microclimates, giving you a complete picture of Tenerife’s dramatic natural diversity — all in one exclusive hike with small groups.

Hike through four climate zones above Masca, into an enchanted forest, with a picnic, photo memories, and free hotel pick-up — all in one unique Tenerife experience. We pick you up directly from your hotel and head west, where the hike begins with a steady ascent toward a fragrant pine forest. As we gain altitude, panoramic views unfold — Mount Teide, volcanic landscapes, and the rugged ridges of Teno. Following a scenic trail along the high ridge above Masca, you'll enjoy stunning views of the Masca valley, Los Gigantes cliffs, and, on clear days, the islands of La Gomera and La Palma. We stop for a picnic in peaceful nature before entering a hidden laurel forest. Here, twisted trees, ferns, and moss create a magical setting. On some days, we walk through clouds, making the forest feel truly enchanted. Throughout the hike, your guide shares fascinating stories about the land, nature, and Canarian life — all in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The trail ends with a gentle descent and return drive to your hotel. After the tour, you'll receive a selection of high-quality photos — and sometimes a short video — as a memory of your day.

READ THIS FIRST IF YOU'VE NEVER HIKED BEFORE AND NEED DETAILS BECAUSE THIS WAS ME. This was my first ever real hike because I thought it would be more like an "amble" and I'm probably should have picked something easier but I really enjoyed this. Here's what you should know if you're not sure. I'm in my 50s, with arthritis and normally only walk 3k steps a day. This was over 6 miles and lots of inclines so by the end I was the most exhausted I've ever been in my life, but it was also so lovely and educational. Parts of it were really hard for me but the other people who were there and were normal hikers and most thought it was quite easy. The guide was very encouraging and patient with us and encouraged us to stop and breathe and go at our pace. He provided the sticks for hiking but make sure you wear good shoes. Also long pants or shirts are a good idea because there are some brambles you pass through. A light jacket could be helpful but I didn't need one. Also, you need to bring 1.5 liters of water with each person so be sure you have that with you and a bag to carry them in. Overall, really lovely and worthwhile but if you're out of shape like me just be aware that you might be very achey at the end.

Beautiful route and somewhat challenging. The guide was very knowledgeable both on nature and history. Very enjoyable hike and made my stay in Tenerife all the more memorable.

We had a wonderful day with a great hiking and through dreamlike scenery. The guide Alex brought a lot of fun to the small group. We were also able to learn a lot of meaningful things. Whether you can find this circular route without a guide is questionable. From us definitely 5 stars. We are very pleased.

Very enjoyable hike with Elena who was so knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and was great fun. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish. The hike was well paced and very safe. Would highly recommend and will be booking again for sure x

Wow! What an amazing morning spent with lovely guide Elena and breathtaking scenery. Tour very well organised ...pick up details text day before. Elena was so knowledgeable about the area ..flora and fauna and Tenerife in general but was also friendly and fun. We a family of 3 ranging from 56 to 15 ..loved it. Enjoyably challenging but felt safe at all times . Perfect walking pace and poles provided. . Highly recommend and will defo be booking Elena again 👌🏾💯⛰️🫶

This was truly a hiking experience, so get equipped properly! If you want to see more than the tourist areas of Tenerife, you definitely need to get to this place. We hade the perfect weather to get to know nature as it usually is in the forests of Tenerife and Elena is a wonderful guide. A lot of information to give to us on the vegetation and the surrounding, she is also very cheerful. Smashing views from up there and we learned many unique thinks about nature in Tenerife.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Great communication prior to pick up and I was picked up outside my villa. Alex, our guide, was very friendly, informative and funny. He always made sure the group were OK and gave us loads of interesting facts along the route. The hike itself involved some steep and rocky paths but everyone was able to navigate them safely without feeling rushed and having the trekking poles helped greatly. Our simple, small lunch was enough to fuel us for the rest of the hike. Overall...fun, invigorating, stunning scenery...a definite must for people to do!

Communication was great from the outset. We got picked up near our hotel in Costa Adeje and taken to the north west of the island. Alex was a great guide. His love of the island came across right from the start. He explained the 4 micro-climates we walked through and gave us information about the local wildlife, the trees and plants, and the way geology shaped the area. In total the walk was just under 9km and did have some pretty demanding sections. Everyone was given a hiking stick to help steady us in the parts that were steep or slippery - shoes with a good grip are important. Be ready for all weathers and all temperatures, even if it's warm and sunny where you're staying. Don't underestimate how demanding the hike will be - but I'd highly recommend Alex as a guide and the area was beautiful. He's also a fantastic photographer (the photos I've attached to this review were all taken by him and shared at no extra cost)!
