We are food passionates and our aim is for you to have a very fun evening while tasting the best Basque tapas/pintxos of Bilbao and discovering the local history and traditions. With us you will taste at least the top 8 pintxos (traditional and modern Basque bites) all paired with a lovely variety of local drinks from wines to vermouths (we have options for all preferences).

This tour runs in English and in small groups only so it is much more personal. Our focus is in high quality food and drink, so the perfect choice for the most demanding foodies, just like we are!

This experience is as well a fabulous introduction to the history of Bilbao and the Basque Country as we walk around 3 of the most historic neighbourhoods of Bilbao. After the tour you would have learnt the "essential local rules" to order the best food when you are on your own. You will experience it like Basque people: walking around town and hopping from bar to bar pairing local food specialties with drinks.

What To Expect

Bilbao Tour Guide

Join us in this gastronomic walking tour of Bilbao led by a chef and you will taste the best seafood, miniature cuisine and pintxos of Northern Spain and at the same time you will discover the hidden spots and brief history of Bilbao. Everything will be paired with the traditional drinks of Northern Spain: local ciders, alabriños (from Galicia), txakolis, riojas and beyond. Leave it in my hands it is our speciality! This experience is all about food, drinks and the beauty of Bilbao. You will feel like basque people: walking along the Nervion river, sitting in terraces for a drink and hopping from bar to bar pairing the best local food with drinks. You will learn a lot of interesting stories about Basque Country and I will show you the "essential local rules" to order the best food when you are on your own.

Fantastic learning about the foods, Basque culture and history. What was great was that Usoa also told us in advance how many meals and drinks we would have at the beginning so we could plan our appetites! We would highly recommend her and this tour.

It turned out that I was the only person booked on the tour but fortunately it still went ahead. Usua was an excellent guide and great company - very knowledgeable about the food and drink sampled, the city and the local area. She catered well for my dietary requirements and navigated with ease around the AC Bilbao supporters. All of the pintxos and drinks sampled were delicious and we visited places I would never have found on my own. She sent a list of the places visited and food and drink sampled so that I could revisit with my friends. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great food tour operated by Usua, who crafted the evening menu with yummy local pinxtos and txakoli for us to taste at each bar stop. The group size was ideal (not too big) and we also walked through nice spots in the city. This was our first food tour but definitely won’t be our last!

Marina is a great guide. Took us to lots of interesting places that we would not have found on our own, a really good selection of food and wine. Highly recommended and worth going at the start of your trip so that you can go back to your favourites afterwards.
