Only an hour and a half from the city of Medellin, is the place most visited by our travelers, La Piedra del Peñol, one of the most beautiful monoliths of the world with 220 meters of height and an unparalleled view of the Peñol-Guatape reservoir.
In this experience you will enjoy an unforgettable landscape while traveling by boat one of the most important dams that contribute to the energetic supply of Colombia. You will also have the possibility to climb the 740 steps that take you to one of the most impressive views of the reservoir. To culminate the day perfectly, you will explore one of the most colorful and beautiful villages of our country where you will cross the street of memories, the plaza of the zócalos, the boardwalk and its main park.

El Peñol is a town and municipality in Antioquia Department, Colombia. Part of the subregion of Eastern Antioquia. The town is nationally known for its monolith known also as El Peñol which is a tourist attraction.

4.00Good night. Overall everything was super good, Miss guide Violet great, very willing, attentive and aware of everything and everyone, I have no complaints... Excellent!!! But if I want to say something important: as far as lunch is concerned, I didn’t like it at all, I took it as something. I find it a serious fault so many hours between breakfast and lunch and it is not the fault of the guidebook, but of the general management of schedules, I think and very serious that within the group there are children and elderly people, it is unthinkable so much waiting for lunch, is that you can not under any circumstances. Otherwise great, a greeting!!

5.00The tour was perfectly priced and packed with a full day of unforgettable experiences, starting around 7:45 a.m. and ending close to 8 p.m. We started off with a breakfast experience, explored the new Peñón town, climbed El Peñón, enjoyed a boat ride, had lunch, and finished with a farm tour—an incredibly well-rounded day. What truly made this tour exceptional was our guide, Violeta. She was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, fun, responsible, and genuinely friendly. Also, Alejo, our amazing and very safe driver. Thank you, Violeta and Alejo—this tour wouldn’t have been nearly as fun or memorable without you both!
What a disappointment that such a spectacular destination as the Peñol de Guatapé was marred by such poor logistics

2.00My visit to Peñol de Guatapé was disappointing due to poor management of the agency and the guide. Despite the potential of the destination, the experience was not full; the stops in the amenities were extremely rushed, preventing enjoying the environment. The non-compliance of times ruined the pace of the tour. In addition, the food offered was of a terrible quality, a critical point that ended up marring the day. It is unfortunate that such an iconic venue is misused by a service that does not live up to the promise of such a tour.

5.00Our guide Luisa and driver Ferney were very friendly. The truth super recommended this tour. For the price it is very accessible and very dynamic for all the things you can do. If they have the energy they can raise the stone and lower it in the time they give us to do the activity. I find the boat tour interesting as it is even more familiar with the history and some particular buildings surrounding the reservoir. The truth very well tour.
It was really fun and the guide was fun and funny. The tour included many things and the guide was patient, I have no complaint
