Explore the hidden life of the forest after sunset in ANURA, just minutes from La Fortuna. On this approximately 2-hour night tour, you will walk on safe and well-maintained trails as your guides help you discover how the jungle changes at nightfall. With flashlights in hand, you can observe red-eyed frogs, bright insects, night birds, reptiles and hopefully alligators in wet areas. Awesome hike!!! Alberto is extremely informative showing different animal species almost every 15-20 feet! Beautiful establishment with a well maintained trail. Ask as many questions as possible because they always have an answer! Never thought a night hike would have been as interactive as it was, completely different experience than you would expect hiking during the day!

This is a must visit tour. Fantastic and genuinely an educational experience. Alberto was our tour guide and was such a pleasure to be around. We expected to see a lot of unique insects plants and wildlife, but we did not expect to also be exposed to so much information. This is an absolute must go to! So amazing that I must return and do it again! Very personalized and very exciting!

I wasn’t expecting it to be good because it was at night but I was really wrong! I can’t believe what I saw! So many cool animals to see! Highly recommend to come here at night! The hike was super easy so not bad at all.

Alberto had put so much heart and work into is ecological refuge! We learned so much from him about plants, birds, insects, and animals in the area and how they interact in the rainforest ecosystem. Highly recommend!

Family-friendly and accessible night tour. Alberto is so passionate and knowledgeable about the Costa Rican rainforest and ecosystem that you will learn so much. Our family, ranging from 5 till 75 years old, loved to be a part of it, see and spot the nightlife and hear about the wonderful biodiversity and ecosystems in this part of the world. The tour felt really personal and is absolutely worth it.

Night tour with Shayla was amazing. Informative and generous with helping us see and learn nocturnal wildlife. Gained a deep appreciation for Costa Rica rain forest ecology. Highly recommend!! Shayla provided flashlights and paused to use a high power telescope to capture close up photos. A+++

We did this night walk on Christmas Day. Best gift ever for the family. You never know what species you may or may not see on your night walk, but we were lucky seeing many frogs, some cool insects, some sleeping birds, and even a sloth feeding in a tree above the trail. One thing you can be sure of, it is that you will learn a lot from your guide Alberto who is the biologist restoring the ecosystem on that piece of land. I’m so happy we found this place. We loved it so much that we went back for a day tour. That is definitely the highlight of our Costa Rica trip!

I recently had the pleasure of joining a guided tour led by Alberto, a biologist whose passion and knowledge truly shine through. The tour was not only informative but also engaging. Alberto shared fascinating insights into the ecosystems we explored. We spotted several different frogs, spiders and other insects each enthusiastically described by Alberto. He was truly a walking encyclopedia in biology!!
