• Terrible service, waited at safari gate for 2 hrs

  Booked and piad in full, conformation by email and app a privare jeep safari at Udawalawe park, collection at hotel 5km from park. After 1 hr still no show or response from messaging tour operator. Took taxi to park gates. Messaged for 1 hr back and forth, send google maps pin of location. Confirned was at Udawalawe park gates. 'Dont worry sir jeep is 15 min away' after 1 hr had a message that jeep was ready. phone call from driver at Yala National park? We are not at Yala and our booking was Udawalawe park. So had to book a second jeep from the park at extra cost. So lost 2 hrs from a 4 hr jeep safari. My 2 young kids had to stand in the su. Whilst this disaster unfolded. Complere incompetantace from Less Taxi tour operator. Still waiting for refund plus cost of 2 x taxi. Terrible experience and total waste of our time and money. We never got the 4 hr safari we paid for and as a result seen fewer animals. Do not use this company.

  I had a great time in Udawalawe, went for the early AM safari. Got picked up always on time from my hotel in Unawatuna. Then we have met the jeep driver just few mins drive from the entrance. You do have to pay separately for the entrance(need a passport, or a copy and can be paid by card), the jeep hire and the pick up/drop off from the hotel. All went smoothly, weather was amazing, saw plenty of elephants, birds, monkeys, crocs...no big cats, but they said it's rare to spot one.

  The come on time all divers are polite. I used the company throughout my trip to Sri Lanka from A to Z. They were polite, on time, and tried to help me with everything.

  The drivers were always punctual and communicative via WhatsApp, and it was easy to arrange bookings tailored to exactly what I wanted. I also booked an Udawalawe Safari tour through them and it amazing as got to see lots of baby elephants up close! Thank you, would definitely use you again if I returned to Sri Lanka.

  We had a wonderful time in the national Park and it worked out well that we started in weligama and went to Ella afterwards. All in all we had a great experience and used less Taxi at least 4 more times on our Trip in Sri Lanka because it was so easy to organize

  Nice safari of about 3 hours made. Seen a lot of elephants, that's what we were doing. Clear communication via whatsapp, everything was neat and arranged on time. Recommended!

  Hello! My name is Soumi and we travelled with LessTaxi from April9th to April15th in SriLanka and had an anazing experience. Our driver Dinesh was very informative guiding us very well. The taxi made our whole trip very comfortable and enjoyable. Its a great one and I would recommend it to all my friends travelling to Srilanka

  We had a very good driver with a good knowledge of the animals and birds. His English was basic but he was friendly and attentive and used books of the animals and birds to help us. He really could quickly see creatures but it still is well worth working at spotting yourself as you are higher than the driver with an unobstructed view. Entry price varies on the day which is weird but is due to exchange rates and nothing to do with the company but the natural park. The jeeps are 4WD and great but it is very, very bumpy on the tracks and if you have a bad back you may wish to consider this. As normal on a safari you also have to climb up into the back of the jeep.We saw elephants, including one with a baby, crocs, monkeys, deer, buffaloes, jackals, a monitor (I spotted) many different birds including eagles and peacocks and bee eaters. Leopards are very rarely seen. Overall good value.

  We had a great tour, in the end >4h. Good and personal service. Would recommend this to all! Not only the safari, but all other taxi trips were great service.
