The balsa river is the best white water rafting choice in the northern area of Costa Rica this great class 3 &4 on the upper part,

Balsa River for an adventure you won’t forget anytime soon! Stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit. After white water rafting, you will get a clean towel and a water bottle, and we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch

Daily tours leave at 08:30 am from La Fortuna for our Class IV White Water Rafting Adventure on the Balsa  River and includes round trip transportation from local La Fortuna hotels, all equipment, guides, fruit on the river, towels, water, & costarican lunch. We come back to La Fortuna town at 13:30.

This tour is appropriate for anyone with 12 years and older.

Arenal Rafting’s Class IV adrenaline-packed white water rafting adventure is a thrilling rafting experience within the Costa Rican rainforest.  For those in good physical condition, we’ll take you for a 15-kilometer ride down the river you won’t forget anytime soon!  Stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit.  After white water rafting, we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch. Daily tours leave at 9:00 am from La Fortuna for our Class IV White Water Rafting Adventure and include roundtrip transportation from local La Fortuna hotels, all equipment, guides, fruit on the river, towels & local lunch. This tour is appropriate for anyone 12 years and older.

    The journey is to long. Better to arrive independently. The guide was very professionally. Better to let shoes for the water. The price of the picture is to expensive.

    This was by far our favorite excursion while in La Fortuna. Just exhilarating, exciting and so much fun. Our guide Juan Miguel was a fantastic guide . Funny and did backflips while going down the rough rapids on the raft. So much fun. My adult kids loved it , just loved it . It’s a must do while in La Fortuna .

    The entire team from beginning to end were absolutely amazing!!! Our guide in particular though, Carlos Vasquez, made this one of the most exciting excursions I’ve ever been on. And huge shoutout to his father who was our driver that day Don Luis! They both were so welcoming and made us feel safe from beginning to end. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

    We had an amazing time water rafting today with Arenal Rafting. Everything is very well organized: pick up from the hotel, buses to take us to the river, equipment, explanations and instructions. Top notch! Everybody is very friendly, knowledgeable and super fun. It was my first time water rafting, and I felt very safe and enjoyed every moment. Our guide Carlos Gonzalez and Yader are the best and the most fun! We had delicious fruits on a break stop on the river especially prepared for us by all the guides, and after we had a great traditional lunch with all the fellow rafters. While on the river we saw a big sloth on a tree, a lot of iguanas, little bats, herons and vultures. One of the best days in Costa Rica! Thank you for the best experience!
