My party of 3 took a tour Saturday 6/7/25 with Navid. We had been messaging and calling Navid since our arrival in Vancouver to confirm our tour but did not hear back from him until about 10am ( our pick up time) as he had “lost” his phone. He called giving us an ETA of 10:20 and arrived at 10:40…. we were all happy to begin our tour. I believe there were 11 ppl on the tour of which 9 were over 60 years old. Reaching the last 2 rows of seating on the minibus was tough as the passage way was narrow and difficult to navigate through seat belts. Majority of passengers were sick, regular coughing and nose blowing and thanks to them a few days later I too got sick. First on the itinerary was Chinatown, not sure if there are any “good” sections of Chinatown but we didn’t see any and it was not a good first impression of Vancouver. Navid’s English is good but he has difficulty explaining things as he has limited vocabulary and because of mispronunciations it was difficult understanding him so we learned very little on that tour. Navid is a good driver, very obvious he has not trained to be a tour guide and has no interest in learning fun facts to share with his tour group. Any information he had was limited and he was unable to elaborate on that topic with detail. Apparently we drove past the “Olympic ?” I guess because of the language barrier/ his mispronunciation I missed it, why would he not think it worthy to stop for a few minutes??? In the business district, he pulled over, got out of the van and opened the side door for us to exit. Not everyone got off the bus as Navid did not inform us beforehand of where we were going or what we would be doing. He took us to see the steam clock about which he had limited information. Driving through Stanley Park one of the tourists asked how big the park was, Navid told us it was 60 acres but Google says it’s 1,000 acres and had many interesting facts that Navid didn’t know. We stopped for about 15 mins in Stanley Park, no information on the totem poles, only thing he told us was there were many trees cut down some time ago because of disease, no context on what kind of disease, how many trees, when this happened and the effect on the region. We drove over the Lions Gate Bridge but unfortunately we did not learn “about the amazing history of this beautiful bridge” as advertised online. Once in North Vancouver, Navid was eager to show /point out to us all the McDonalds and Starbucks on every street and show us where he lived. Once in West Vancouver he took us to see many beautiful houses, he said they were worth $2 million. Later while researching these properties I learned that most of what we looked at was $4 - $5 million and the smaller properties were about $2 million. Most all questions asked to Navid were either ignored or he had no answer. All passengers opted out of the visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. We were looking forward to a 30 min stop at Horseshoe Bay as per the itinerary but Navid drove right past never offering to stop despite our 2 reminders to him. Once back downtown we asked to be dropped to our hotel rather than go to Granville Island, at that point we were frustrated with the quality of the service, disrespect to us and the lack of knowledge. Navid was reluctant to do this so we asked to be dropped off immediately and we would walk the 6 - 8 blocks. After a few minutes of extreme awkwardness he agreed to drop us to our hotel. We opted to do this tour so we could learn about the culture and history of Vancouver. Navid did not provide that service. He is NOT a tour guide merely a chauffeur. Majority of the information told by him to us was later fact checked and was incorrect, very disappointing. Most of this is on video which I’d be very happy to share.

We were given a private tour all around Vancouver including smaller cities surrounding it . Ali was very friendly and knowledgeable and kind enough to take us to the airport afterwards.

Excellent highlights tour. We were a group of 4 couples in Vancouver for a day before an Alaska cruise. Hamed was an excellent tour guide, giving us the history of Vancouver and showing us some of the sights. He picked us up and returned us to our hotel in downtown Vancouver. We would have liked a bit more time at some of the locations but would recommend this tour to anyone. Good experience!
