Stroll down the local neighborhoods of Chora, Naxos main town, and learn about local life. In the company of your guide, you’ll make the rounds of the local produce market the way the Naxos people do. Pick and choose your own local, fresh, seasonal produce, bursting with fragrances, colors, and flavor. You’ll be putting your vegetables to good use during the cooking course that will follow.
Your route will take you to the cobblestone maze-like alleys of the Chora castle. Visit local shops and sample different kinds of cheeses and liqueurs.
Your walk will end at a small traditional taverna where you’ll meet our talented chef. She will show you step by step, how to make traditional appetizers and the renowned Greek salad.
Next, comes the greatest part of the tour. We’ll all be sitting down to share the dishes you made yourself, along with another Greek traditional dish prepared by our chef. We’ll raise our glasses, toast each other, and enjoy a day spent in enjoying and experiencing.

5.00My wife and I had an amazing walking tour and cooking class on Naxos with Anastasia Bagourdi ! She was a terrific tour guide. The day was rainy ( an unusual weather for Naxos, but very welcome by the people living on Naxos), but Anastasia was prepared with umbrellas and an amazing smile and good spirits. We learned a tremendous amount of information about the history of Naxos and its current situation. Naxos is mostly self sufficient with produce and livestock! Shopping for local produce was a real treat. We tried different cheeses at another shop! Our cooking class with Ms. Mimosa and Anastasia and subsequent lunch was just wonderful ! Very delicious food, and to get such detailed instruction in it's preparation was just outstanding !! We would highly recommend this tour !!

5.00Anastasia is the best guide. It was wonderful to understand Naxos Town better and getting to know her. The food we prepared was some of the best we had in our week in Greece. We really enjoyed the custom tzatziki.

5.00A wonderful and informational time with Anastasia learning so much about history and life in Naxos, and ending with a cooking lesson where we learned some lovely Greek dishes ( Greek salad, eggplant Salad, zucchini fritters) and the meal included moussaka made by the chef. Highly recommend this group

5.00Anastasia was so knowledgeable and fun. She took us all over the chora and showed us things we would have never picked up on! The cooking class was fantastic and we really learned how to make a few things I will definitely be making at home.

5.00An excellent day seeing areas of Chora on Naxos we had not visited before. Anastasia was a great guide she was very knowledgeable and informative. We had fun choosing the fruit and vegetables for our lunch, a great visit and tasting at the cheese shop and lots of fun cooking with Miss Mimosa. We all sat together and enjoyed a lovely lunch after of the food we had prepared and some cooked by the taverna. After that we visited the liqueur shop for a tasting. I cannot recommend this more highly

5.00Anastasia was wonderful! She was knowledgeable and spoke lovingly of Naxos’s history and tradition. We enjoyed the cheese tasting and special drink of Naxos. The highlight was cooking with a Greek “mama”! Anastasia took pictures throughout our tour and has offered to help us out with any questions during our stay. She is the truest example of Greek hospitality. We highly recommend this trip!

5.00Anastasia was an incredible guide. Warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing her love for Naxos. Walking through the charming streets of Chora, visiting the market, cooking with Miss Mimosa (the sweetest lady ever), and sharing a delicious meal afterwards made the whole day feel like spending time with family. It was the perfect blend of culture, history, and food. Worth every minute and every penny! Book this tour at the start of your stay to truly appreciate everything this incredible island has to offer.
