We joined the dolphin watching & snorkelling trip with Global Scuba, but unfortunately, it was not worth the price. There were no dolphins — which can happen — but the whole experience felt poorly organized. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the snorkelling spot, and we only snorkelled for about an hour in a very small area that you can easily swim across in 30 minutes. The place itself wasn’t particularly special — we saw one turtle and a few tropical fish. The boat drivers were speeding the entire time, making the ride extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. We were soaked from head to toe. The return trip was just as long and rough. Also, no one on the boat spoke English, apart from saying “hello” and “welcome.” They claimed their English was “medium,” but it was barely basic — making it difficult to communicate or ask questions. For 23 OMR per person, we expected much better organization, communication, and professionalism.
