dessert
Lemon & Lemongrass
Inspired by a recipe common in traditional Khmer medicine, lemon being an excellent tonic while the infusion of lemongrass has proven anti-fungal.
starter
Ginger & Red Chili
The spiciest flavour of the range, combining 2 hot flavours that have been smoothly softened. Ideal to wake up any kind of appetite.
starter
Mango & Green Chili
With a high fruity tang, relatively sweet, and a pleasant spicy touch, this flavour is the women's favourite. It can be enjoyed as an apéritif
starter
Galangal & Tamarind
Clearly the most exotic flavours of Sombai, mixing the sweetness and acidity of the candied tamarind to the spicy aroma of the fresh galangal.
starter
Anise & Coffee
Expert combination of Cambodian badian (star anise) and coffee beans. Ideal as an apéritif to enjoy the natural virtues of anise and coffee.
dessert
Banana & Cinnamon
A blend of sweet and spicy, the prevalent taste of cinnamon gives a festive touch to this flavour. Perfect to accompany a dessert.
starter
Coconut & Pineapple
Cambodian version of the Piña-Colada, with a sweet hint and coconut predominance. So be careful, this drink can be scrumptiously treacherous.

A must do while in Siem reap The tour and introduction about the liquor is very short but interesting The best part is the tasting ? You get to try ten different flavours from fruity to spicy !! Plus three different alcoholic jams !! There is also a shop where you can buy the products, I brought a banana flavoured liquid and a passion and spices jam All of the jars have hand painted lanes I would recommend this tour ,

The process of creating the flavors was a fairly basic introduction; however, tasting the different flavors was great. Our guide through the tasting was knowledgeable and took his time to tell us more about the flavors. There were ten beverages and several jams to try. The flavors ranged from more fruity to slightly spicy. The artwork on the bottles to purchase is hand painted, adding a unique element of culture that we would remember once we get home. We met the owner before leaving the shop. He was such a friendly gent and had some great recommendations for places to try around the city.

A quick overview of Sombai coupled with an opportunity to sample many different flavors of the liqueur that is guaranteed to challenge your palette. This would have been a 5/5 experience if there were defined times to show up rather than any ad-hoc time while it's open.

What a great experience! The flavors are yummy and very distinct. Also the jams are to die for. You wouldn't wanna miss this when you're in Siem Reap. Kim, our tasting guide, was very patient and kind to us!! I highly highly highly recommend this very affordable side trip 😀 Also after the tasting, you wouldn't even feel the pressure to buy because they wouldn't salestalk to you. But after tasting their flavors, we still bought a lot because they are worth my money! I enjoyed the jams too, I can never forget.
