Get ready for a slice of that diversity as you join one of our hosts to eat your way around Yokohama, stopping off at the places where locals really eat. Try dishes like gyunabe, a beef hotpot that originated in Yokohoma, and the locally famous napolitan, a Yokohama-born pasta dish. You could indulge in the Chinatown specialty, Annin soft cream, slurp on the best ramen in town at the Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum or sample beer from a local brewery.

Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. This is a great way to see how the locals eat. Our guide took us off the beeten path offering us great historic facts about the city while sharing resturants and dishes we would have never found. The meals were great and she was able to cater the experiance to what we were looking for.

This is a great way not only to experience the city and its food but learn about Japanese culture. Marta is a superb guide and speaks great English. The food was excellent also.

We enjoyed our traditional sukiyaki lunch at Araiya restaurant in Yokohama. Chisato, our guide, provided us with the history of Yokohama over a beautiful meal. Her charm and knowledge were appreciated

Going to the suburbs of yokohama to where the locals go to hike and eat. Estela from City Unscripted tours can show you the city, or the hidden gems on the outskirts. Amazing experience!
