CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: If you are arriving in Waitangi Wharf, the cruiseship provides FREE shuttle buses for cruise ship guests to transfer you into Paihia (5 minute bus ride) The bus will drop you off outside the Paihia Wharf next to our check-in location - Pier 10 on the Paihia Wharf

Cruise-ship guests need to ensure their travel insurance covers them in the unlikely event that the cruise-ship does not stop in port, as we are unable to refund in these situations.

The "Hole in the Rock" section of the tour is weather dependent. If conditions are not suitable to travel to The Hole in the Rock, an alternative route within the sheltered inner islands will be used.

Lovely trip around the bay of islands, variety of activities available; walking/swimming/snorkelling, learnt about the history and nature of the place, and even got to see some dolphins! Really friendly crew made for an enjoyable morning. Would totally recommend.

If you're picturing a gentle cruise through the Bay of Islands to admire the scenery and sea life, this is not the trip for you. It's a speedboat that traverses the open ocean to reach the Hole in the Rock. The seas were very rough the day we went and it was a largely unpleasant experience. There were some calm portions in the Bay itself, but that was not the majority of the "cruise." The island stop was just a snack bar on a short stretch of beach.

Great morning. Zach was very entertaining with his stories of the area and handled the boat extremely well. Beautiful day for a boat ride and stop at one of the islands.

Brilliant trip - Blair as skipper, narrator and 'Hole in the rock' expert with Blue as chief lookout for dolphins etc. Highly recommend 😁

Friendly crew. Beautiful scenery. Lots of fun. Had the opportunity to snorkel & swim. We had beautiful sunny weather too.

Great trip. Enjoyed all of it but I especially loved Roberton Island where we had a quick stop and walk up to the look out point. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable

Zac and Dan were great, spotting seals, dolphins and sharks. Got us back in time for passengers to catch their bus for the cruise ship

We had a fantastic day out. It was made so much fun and very informative by 2 of the nicest guys Zac and Dan! They made sure everyone was ok and got us back on time to join our cruise ship! Highly recommend this trip!

I gave a 4 but it could have been a 5 if the tour company had not changed the time at the last minute making it a rush to get back for the last tender at 3:30. But Zac and Dan were excellent and kept us on time. They over excellent commentary. My favorites were the wildlife, hole in the rock and the island stopover.
