CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: If you are arriving in Waitangi Wharf, the cruiseship provides FREE shuttle buses for cruise ship guests to transfer you into Paihia (5 minute bus ride) The bus will drop you off outside the Paihia Wharf next to our check-in location - Pier 10 on the Paihia Wharf

The "Hole in the Rock" section of the tour is weather dependent. If conditions are not suitable to travel to The Hole in the Rock, an alternative route within the sheltered inner islands will be used.

5.00Excellent tour. The boat ride was so much fun, and sailing through the hole was great. The walk to the Lookout was fun too. We also enjoyed the lunch. Highly recommend!

5.00Nick was amazing and was always willing to answer questions. He was very knowledgable about the area and the wildlife. The highlight was when we stopped at the island and I ended up swimming with dolphins. Thankyou to Nick for pointing them out

5.00This excursion to the hole in the rock at the Bay of Islands was wonderful. JT and Adam were great tour guides and shipmates. The weather was a little dreary, but it didn’t take anything away from the hole in the rock.

5.00Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the sea was too rough to make it to the hole (we tried before turning around) but we had the opportunity to visit other islands and learn about important parts of NZ history. Also, appreciate they kindly waited 10 minutes for us as the tenders from our cruise ship to the shore were delayed.

5.00What a terrific experience! Zac was a phenomenal skipper and tour guide, really nice guy and funny and informative. We would 100% recommend this tour to everyone. Don't be fooled by the luxury of the bigger boats, this little rocket was far more fun, and able to navigate the hole in the rock on a rougher day where the larger boats couldn't. Do yourselves a favour and book the tour, you won't be disappointed. A full day option would be great to explore more of Otehei Bay Island on foot.
