Kaudulla National Park
Sri Lanka has over 26 national parks and going on a safari is a popular activity during a usual Sri Lanka Route. Kaudulla National Park is one of best national parks to spot Elephants in Sri Lanka. It is home to 200+ elephants, monkeys, crocodiles and even a handful of leopards. The park has opened in 2002, is surrounded by grasslands and can be visited year-round to see elephants and other great wildlife. See why this is the best national park in Sri Lanka.
Sigiriya
Lion Rock in Sigiriya is one of the most popular landmarks to visit during a route through Sri Lanka. The natural phenomenon is an enormous (200m) square shaped rock that looks like it’s placed there. Lion Rock is one of the eight UNESCO World Heritage sights and is a must visit in Sri Lanka.
Pidurangala Rock
While Sigiriya Rock is rich in history and has some pretty dramatic features such as the lion’s paw and the mirror wall, Pidurangala Rock has a much more natural feel, despite also housing a temple. Pidurangala Rock is adjacent to Sigiriya Rock and is the best viewing spot of Sigiriya Rock as it is only slightly lower. Pidurangala is a popular spot for sunrise as you can enjoy 360-degree views of not only the valleys but also Sigiriya Rock. There is no need to choose between the two. Many travelers wake up for the sunrise at Pidurangala and then head to sunset on top of Sigiriya Rock.
Golden Temple of Dambulla
The beautiful Royal Rock Temple complex sits about 160m above the road in the southern part of Dambulla. Five separate caves contain about 150 absolutely stunning Buddha statues and paintings, some of Sri Lanka's most important and evocative religious art. Buddha images were first created here over 2000 years ago, and over the centuries subsequent kings added to and embellished the cave art. From the caves there are superb views over the surrounding countryside; Sigiriya is clearly visible some 20km distant.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size. As well as the revered main temple, the complex includes a series of smaller temples, shrines and museums.
Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden
En route to the picturesque city of Nuwara Eliya and at an elevation of 5,000 feet, stands the famed Labookellie Estate Tea Factory, renowned for producing some of Ceylon’s finest Teas and the estate itself, established nearly 150 years ago, is perhaps the second oldest tea plantation in the Island. Visitors having taken time in observing the manufacturing process of tea, need only to stroll a short distance, to enter one of the most desired locations in the hill country that being the “DAMRO LABOOKELLIE TEA LOUNGE”. It overlooks breathtaking views of tea gardens in all shades of green that carpet the slopes of surrounding hills & valleys and those observant could also spot within fields the gentle movement of tea pluckers, nimbly harvesting the tender two leaves & bud.
Ramboda Waterfall
Ramboda Falls is 109 m (358 ft) high[1] and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world.[2] It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass.[3] It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945 m (3,100 ft) above sea level.
Gregory Lake
Gregory Lake was created in 1873 by the British era Governor at the time, Sir William Gregory, supposedly for the purpose of providing electricity. However the lake was mainly used for leisure and recreation after it was built. At its peak of fame, Gregory Lake was the most prominent attraction in the area and was used a place to relax by many visitors.

Though I have traveling since 90’s for various countries, I have never met such a tour guide until I meet Thilina from Sri Lanka. The service was very good as well as his explanations also very pleasant. I highly recommend this tour agent if you are looking to travel in Sri Lanka

My friend and I booked this tour for our 5 day trip in Sri Lanka, and I have never dealt with a better company! Minutes after booking the tour, . We arrived mid-day at the airport so he helped customize the tour to fit our schedule. Very friendly, clear communication, and even offered to help us book hotels. Upon arrival at the airport, our driver Thilina was waiting with a sign which made it super easy for us to get picked up and start our journey immediately. The tour was fantastic, we started with a safari at Kaudulla National Park where we got to see tons of ele from an open jeep. Thilina was so much fun, chatting with us and taking lots of great photos. He was very accommodating with what we wanted to do and our timing for each activity. We visited temples and waterfalls, climbed Sigiriya rock, cooked our own lunch with a local family, and drove through the gorgeous scenery filled with tea plants. We were perfectly on- time for events like the Kandy Lake Club dance show, and Thilina was really flexible with our schedule. Had such a great time for our first experience in Sri Lanka! Everyone is so friendly and there is so much to edo here. Wish I could have spent more time, but I hope to come back soon. Highly recommend Holiday walkers srilanka for anyone looking to visit beautiful Sri Lanka!

Wow, from the moment we booked this trip the service from Kingfisher Tours has been excellent!! They were willing to work with us on adjusting the set itinerary to accommodate our flights and even offered to book accommodations for us! Thilina was an excellent tour guide and driver through the beautiful country. He was such a friendly face and easy to find at the airport. We immediately kicked off our journey with a drive to our first adventure, a safari, where we saw elephants and cows and had gorgeous weather. In addition to being a great tour guide and driver, Thilina was great at taking fun photos of us! He also snuck in some candid shots! We climbed Sigiriya Rock, made a traditional Sri Lankan meal in a village, Saw a traditional dance performance in Kandy, visited temples, toured a tea plantation and saw some beautiful waterfalls. As a little last minute addition, we also did some white water rafting on the way down the mountain from Newara Eliya! We were the only two in the boat and had a blast! Sri Lanka is a gorgeous country and needs to be explored more! We highly recommend Kingfisher Tours and their world class services! We will definitely use them again when we go back!
