4.00Get a map of stops from the Booking Company. The Map we got from our hotel was not clear and made finding the stop closest to us very difficult.

1.00I am not a complainer and rarely give reviews; however, I feel obligated to warn potential customers based on our experience. We made the mistake of booking both the "hop on hop off" bus and boat. 1) Tour reps said pickup right in front of cruise terminal, when in fact it is across the street, across the canal, and across the next street. 2) We boarded the bus and it was standing room only! Could barely see outside the bus. 3) They never announced where the hop on hop off boat was. When we inquired, they simply said "you missed it!" 4) We stayed on the bus for another entire loop (1 hr-20 min), only to be dropped off a lengthy 15 min walk to the boat station. 5) The next boat was 20 minutes away, and the boat tour was 2 hours in length. Unfortunately for us, we would not be able to make it back to the ship in time, so Viator and the tour company pocketed our fee, and we walked back the 15 minutes to the bus. 6) The worst part of the trip: The roof of the bus is clear plastic supported by sharp cornered square extruded aluminum beams, that are conveniently located 5' 9" from the floor. so, if you are taller than that, you will have a painful experience. I smashed my head no less than three times. It is inexcusable that these beams are not covered with a protective soft material. We have traveled on many hop on hop off tours and have found them a great way to see the highlights of large cities. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, and I am sure that there are many other ways to see the city without enduring the grief that this tour company provides.
