Experience the magic of the clearest skies on the planet with Atacama Deep Sky. We start with the welcome at Plaza Apacheta and transfer to the observatory, located in the middle of the desert, away from light pollution. Enjoy an audiovisual astronomical talk and cocktail with hot/cold drinks, wines, snacks, hummus and vegan options. Observe constellations and planets with the naked eye, and explore nebulae and galaxies with 14” and 16” telescopes. Short transfer to Death Valley for photo shoot with the Milky Way (personal and group photo included). Return to your hotel. Wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes.

Bad pickup and mediocre experience

3.00Pick up experience was an uncoordinated disaster (originally told the wrong time, then they were late to pick up at the correct time, also picked up in the same place as like 4 other companies), and only communication in Spanish. First stop was to take pictures with the stars, which was nice, they then shared a link on their Instagram a few days later so you could download the pictures. Next was a presentation about the solar system and stars, but it was not very lively and did not contain any more information than a science class for small children. Snacks and drinks were provided here. Finally, we got to look at the stars, they have two telescopes and the astronomer would point them at stars and let us lineup to look. I heard other tourists who told me about better scientific explanations and smoother pick ups, so I would honestly recommend booking this tour with a different company - there are many many choices.
The treatment we received was very cordial. Grateful.

4.00It was good, recommended. The friendly and well-disposed guides just like the driver and photographer! Although there are some things to improve especially if you do not speak Spanish. Things to improve: 1 - astronomical talk in English 2 - you could divide the groups by language so we don't have to be waiting for them to speak both languages and also by point 1 3 - improve the cocktail, that was very bad. I only tried a sweet cookie, and increasing the budget very little could improve it quite a bit (as they offer it as a top of the tour)
