Entrance tickets are free for children under 18 and seniors over 60. Please present your passport or ID at the comprehensive service window to obtain a free paper ticket first.

For seniors over 60, as well as children between 120cm in height and age under 18, the cable car fare is the same as the adult price.

Kids under 120cm in height are eligible for free admission tickets and cable car rides. There is no need to exchange free tickets for them.

The e tickets issued in this booking is pretty much useless. I still have to go to the ticket counter to exchange for a physical paper ticket. Badaling Great Wall entry system isn’t that advance yet, it only uses paper ticket entry, hence this booking is not convenient at all. I suggest best to go with tour group with guide that will help purchase tickets for you and give you valid advices on hiking the wall. And Badaling has the most number of visitors among all Great Wall sites…so don’t gives yourself extra inconvenience and unnecessary waste of time of extra queuing

everything was wonderful! Easy ticket booking, just go there with your passport (preferably by express train) and admire a wonder of the world

It was really nice. We unfortunately went on the coldest day of the week. It was like -6 degrees. But the wall is so challenging that you don't feel the cold if you keep moving. But I would recommend going on a less snowy day though the scenery was stunning with the snow. The ways get slippery by time. Sometimes the way is so steep you need to hold onto something. And if it's too wet, it can be hard. All in all good experience. I would recommend but be prepared that it's a challenging route.
