Andrea took us to the market to shop for seafood. We were each able to participate in the preparation of paella. Manny and Andres were absolutely wonderful. Manny was the chef and Andres taught us how to make sangria.

Our host Andrea has prepared us a wonderful afternoon. First the visit to the market and then the interesting cooking of the paella. Garnished with stories about Barcelona and Catalan specialties. With us everyone was very enthusiastic and the paella tasted delicious

The food experience was amazing and Luca the chef did an amazing job of taking us through the Boqueria Market to purchase all of the fresh produce and fish products, followed by a wonderful test kitchen where he involved all the guests in the food preparation process. The shrimp and calamari paella and various other tapas and sangria were rich in taste and quantity. A wonderful evening.

We had a wonderful time with Chef Manny. We picked out fish at the market then went to a private kitchen and prepared the meal. The portions were large and the drinks were flowing. It was nice that we could serve ourselves. It should be noted that we did walk 10 min. To the market and then to the kitchen. Also, at the end of the evening, we were on our own to get back, so hail a cab as the kitchen was not near any place we recognized.

What an absolutely fantastic experience. This exceeded all my expectations. From the shopping experience with Matty and cooking class with Maya, everything was so informative and enjoyable. I commend Matty for recognizing my husband's mobility issues and paced the walking portion appropriately. He also provided information on sites along the way from the meeting location to the market and finally the kitchen. Maya was so pleasant in describing how paella is made and answering many questions that I'm sure she's been asked hundreds of times before. The hands-on portion of the class was fun as each of us got assignments to do. So all of us participated in the making of the dish. Which was so worth the wait! It was delicious and so much better than anything you could buy on the Ramblas. Knowing only the freshest and finest ingredients used only added to its deliciousness. And the sangria was pretty darn good too. Plus Matty showed us how to make the sangria at home. And it was bottomless! Would I recommend this tour? Absolutely!! Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your appetite. Shout out to the fellow group of visitors on this tour. There were about 12 of us and we were a fun and friendly bunch!

The class was phenomenal! Mia was our chef and she explained everything in detail. She was so charming and charismatic. Little backstory. My friend and I were about 1 1/2 late as first the map sent us in the wrong direction and then uber taxi dropped us off in the wrong place. Mia and the staff at Travelers Nest, the meeting place were awesome. Mia graciously let us join the later class.

Absolutely brilliant course. Did with my 2 teens and we loved it. The chef was really excellent and it was a lot of fun. The food was plentiful and good quality, lots of nice drinks options and the venue was lovely too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Marc has excellent historic knowledge and fun stories. This is not a tour for someone with limited mobility. Though there is a bus that takes you between the two sites, there is significant up hill walking in the park.
