  I bought a 2 day pass to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The advertisement said that the bus stays at 9 am. When we arrive the bus to Abu Dhabi left at 8am. Then we were told that bus to AbuDhabi didn’t run the next day. We could not get a refund. We could only make our pass in Dubai last for two days.

  Catherine told us to be at pickup point at 8am..however bus didnt leave til 9. She also sold us an upgrade to an aquarium that we didnt use or ask for..shes a liar

  Note that there are two parts of the website on this activity that are a problem....1) The shuttle that takes you to Abu Dhabi only travels on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday! Website incorrectly states that shuttle only does not travel on Friday....WRONG....2) The map provided of the 3 routes the Dubai buses take is incorrect. The current hardcopy map and actual practice put the Recommended TOUR STARTS HERE indicator at Red stop #1/Green stop #12 - Dubai Mall. Also, only Red route has a human guide/narrator (using English and a microphone) so Channel for earphones for English must be Channel 13.. The Green & Blue routes have no narration/guide so all must use proper language channel (including English on Channel 1). We booked a Friday/Saturday 2 day, planning to do Abu Dhabi on Saturday (using the website details). However, upon arriving to check onto bus, the person who looked at our vouchers told us we would not be able to do Abu Dhabi as shuttle only travels on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (very sharp and nice of her to point this out and instructing us to rebook with them, leaving our Viator booking intact and to contact Viator for a full refund on the original incorrect booking to avoid complications). We did so and had a great time on the 3 Big Bus routes. Also highly recommend you take the Night Tour (if available on your booking) as about 1/2 of the area covered is not covered with the daytime 3 routes. Also, for the Dubai Mall Water Fountain Show, try to get on the ground floor balcony overlooking the fountain pond as this is the best place to view/photo/video the show. We did not but had a semi-view on lower ground level at the 8pm show.....very nice show! Finally, if you plan on doing the Marina Boat Cruise (if on your booking) note that the boat leaves on the hour and arrives back in approx. 1 hour or slightly less. This means that due to the walk back to the Big Bus pickup stop, you miss the time to catch the bus so must wait another 1/2 hour for the next bus. So maybe plan on visiting more like the Marina Mall or have lunch or ?. Also be aware of the heat from March to end Sept/early Oct. Buses all are air-con lower level but only some have air-con on 1st 1/3 of top level. They do supply free bottled water though not always cold due to passenger loads. Long walks during this hot period are risky due to temperatures of up to and over 40 degrees C. Finally, when the wind comes up, visibility is bad and so no Burj Kalifa view.

  I unfortunately missed the Yas island tour due to mis advice by the Big Bus staff...all was caused by fact that you pick the Abu Dhabi shuttle by 8am right after breakfast and after the 1hr ride,the bladder needed relieve on arrival but unfortunately, the cloakrooms one can use are located inside the Sheik Zayed mosque with the Ladies at the far corner I would recommend the shuttle to have stop over at a convenient before connecting on the Green route bus since the Abu dhabi circuit is quite intense to be done from 9pm, or perhaps the shuttle can leave Dubai erarlier to allow more time especially with the Must-see Louvre now open.

  A lot of stops to choose from with good narration via headphones. Many of the stops weren't called out so we had to confirm with the driver the stops we wanted. There was bottled water always available which helped in the 100 degree heat, but would have liked the air conditioner on a little higher. The maps were accurate as well as the time for each loop. If you want to learn more about the area you're visiting without having to do any driving this is the tour to take. On the second day in Abu Dhabi, many people on the bus were pressured to post TripAdvisor posts with the employees going as far as making sure you downloaded the app and one of the employees even read one of the groups reviews and provided grammar suggestions to them.
