We’ll start this incredible journey with an early pick up (around 7:00am) in Bologna with our private minivan or minibus to head to the countryside between Modena and Bologna. Why so early? Parmigiano Reggiano doesn’t wait! It’s made only in the early morning and we want you to get in action ASAP! We will see the cheesemakers taking care of all the production steps right before your eyes. You can touch the creamy curd, taste the cooked cheese and get absolutely stunned by the warehouse, where thousands of wheels all around you wait at least 12 months to be “baptized” as Parmigiano Reggiano. Time to taste it, what’d you expect? Young or aged, creamy or crunchy, delicate or intense: you can decide which of the 2 different-age samples is your favorite… or just love them both!

Third and last excellence to meet: meat (pun intended)! Prosciutto Factory Montevecchio’s products will conquer your palate with its fragrant smell, buttery texture and delicate savoriness. We’ll learn about the strict regulations, the long curing process, and the tremendous care necessary to transform only 2 ingredients into a typical product with unique characteristics. We’ll taste its wholesomeness and genuineness with other local charcuteries and a glass of Lambrusco, before a proper lunch is served!

5.00It was amazing to learn how parmesano reggioano, balsamic, and prosciutto are made. Incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Lunch back at the restaurant was the best! Music, dancing, singing, food, and wine was amazing! Frederick and Roberta are awesome! As are the restaurant staff!! Highly recommend for an amazing day!

5.00I have traveled all over the world and done countless tours… and this one is easily one of the BEST experiences we’ve ever had. It is educational, hilarious, delicious, and turns into a full-blown party by the end. We are vegetarian, and the chef went so far out of her way to cook us truly INCREDIBLE vegetarian dishes. Not just “options”… I’m talking full plates of homemade pastas, cheeses, risottos, and fresh vegetables that tasted like they came straight from heaven. Out. Of. This. World. The entire day was magic. We learned how Parmigiano Reggiano is made, watched masters at work, toured the factories, tasted everything, and then… FOOD. So. Much. Food. I cannot even explain how much you will eat. It never stopped coming! The best part? By the end, everyone was dancing, laughing, and we all became friends — people of all ages, from all over the world. It turned into a giant family-style celebration with music, wine, and nonstop courses of food. We left full, happy, and completely obsessed with Italian food and culture. Worth every single penny. Do not think twice — BOOK THIS. Unforgettable experience of a lifetime!

5.00This tour was fantastic!!! We started out at 7:00 am, drove to the Parmagiano Reggiano maker. Then we went to the balsamic vinegar maker, then the prosciutto maker. Each visit was increibly informative and involved tastings within meals provided. We had a lovely breakfast at the balsamic producer that included fresh warm ricotta and wedges of parmesan in our breakfast. Fantastic!! Not to be outdone, after our tour at the prosciutto facility were served a lunch that was nearly endless! Great food, then music and dancing. What a day! Frederico, our guide was just awesome! He's a natural leader and has a great personality and sense of humor. The entire team was just awesome. Highly Recommended.

5.00What a wonderful experience. All the great reviews cannot be wrong. It was an absolutely marvellous day! Cheese, vinegar and prosciutto! The 2 hour lunch at the end with wine and songs was the only way to top such an amazing day. Highly recommended. You will be pleased.

5.00From the beginning to the end, perfectly orchestrated. The staff were very knowledgeable and engaging. You start at the Parmesan Reggiono facility and then onto the balsamic vinegar property, here is where you have a spectacular breakfast with Parmesan, meats from the region and of course the balsamic vinegar along with an abundance of wine. Next you are off to the prosciutto processing facility and this is when the dancing and singing begins whilst you enjoy many dishes of appetizers followed by many courses of pasta and a dessert that will leave you wanting more. The wine flows, the music doesn’t stop and the fun is never ending. I can’t say enough, this was a fabulous day with wonderful people that speak to the lovely culture of the area.

5.00Genuinely interesting tours of the factories. You'll learn loads and come away with respect for old traditions and the craft of very fine food. But this tour is so much more than that. You get to taste and appreciate the food, plus sit down for a generous breakfast before a huge, riotous lunch. The music comes on, food never stops appearing, the wine flows and before you know it, everyone's up and dancing. Absolutely epic. Our guides Eleanor and Roberta were brilliant.

5.00This is quite a wonderful experience. This tour goes to a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese factory, to a small balsamic vinegar producer, and to a prosciutto factory, and then there's lunch. I like we had 5 bottles of wine served to us and limoncello, and lots of courses of food when you're probably still full from the breakfast you got the balsamic vinegar farm. And it turns into somewhat of show and song and dance party. We had so much fun. Our guide Federico and bus driver Roberta were wonderful and showed us a great time!
