Aswan High Dam
The Aswan Dam, or more specifically since the 1980s, the Aswan High Dam, is one of the world's largest embankment dams, which was built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, between 1960 and 1970. When it was completed, it was the tallest earthen dam in the world, eclipsing the United States ' Chatuge Dam.
Temple of Philae
The Philae temple complex is an island-based temple complex in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt. Until the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia, the temple complex was located on Philae Island, near the expansive First Cataract of the Nile in Upper Egypt. These rapids and the surrounding area have been variously flooded since the initial construction of the Aswan Low Dam in 1902. The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam. The hieroglyphic reliefs of the temple complex are being studied and published by the Philae Temple Text Project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna

Abu Simbel Temple
Abu Simbel – Aswan – Nile Cruise. Possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, with its gargantuan rock-cut façade, the great Sun Temple of King Ramses II at Abu Simbel was created to revere the mighty pharaonic ruler King Ramses II. Ramses the Bold, Ramses the Great, and Ramses the Narcissist are perhaps all apt titles for one of ancient Egypt’s most powerful rulers. Celebrating a life that spanned nearly a centenary, Ramses had plenty of time for his more than 200 wives and concubines who produced some 96 sons and 60 daughters. Start this amazing trip to Abu Simbel in the early morning around 4:30 AM.
Kom Ombo Temple
Cruising & Kom Ombo. Nile cruising, Relax this afternoon after coming back from Abu Simbel as we sail the Nile. Later today, we visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. A unique riverside temple, it is unusual in that everything architecturally is doubled and perfectly symmetrical along the main axis of the temple, including twin halls, courts, colonnades, sanctuaries, and entrances.

Edfu Temple
Today in the morning, we visit the temple of Horus in Edfu town, then sail again towards Esna Lock and Luxor. Edfu was one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom, including the Dendera Temple complex, Esna, the Temple of Kom Ombo, and Philae. Its size reflects the relative prosperity of the time. The present temple, which was begun "on 23 August 237 BC, initially consisted of a pillared hall, two transverse halls, and a barque sanctuary surrounded by chapels." The building was started during the reign of Ptolemy III Euergetes and completed in 57 BC under Ptolemy XII Auletes. It was built on the site of an earlier, smaller temple also dedicated to Horus, although the previous structure was oriented east–west rather than north–south as in the present site. A ruined pylon lies just to the east of the current temple; inscriptional evidence has been found indicating a building program under the New Kingdom rulers Ramesses I, Seti I and Ramesses II.
Karnak Open Air Museum
This afternoon, we tour the ancient city of Thebes (the East Bank), taking in the magnificent Temple of Karnak. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom, although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut and the main place of worship of the 18th Dynastic Theban Triad, with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes, and in 1979 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List along with the rest of the city. The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby, and partly surrounded, modern village of El-Karnak, 2.5 kilometres north of Luxor.
Luxor Temple
Luxor temple looks stunning at dusk and is beautifully illuminated at night. The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary". It was one of the two primary temples on the east bank, the other being Karnak. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually.

Colossi of Memnon
Early this morning, we check out of our Nile cruise and visit the highlights of Luxor. The massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments you’ll see during our morning visit to the West Bank
Valley of the Kings
The royal graveyard of the kings of the new kingdom at the western bank of the Nile in Luxor town. Valley of the Kings, long narrow defile just west of the Nile River in Upper Egypt. It was part of the ancient city of Thebes and was the burial site of almost all the kings (pharaohs) of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1539–1075 BCE), from Thutmose I to Ramses X. Located in the hills behind Dayr al-Baḥrī, the 62 known tombs exhibit variety both in plan and in decoration. In 1979 UNESCO designated the valley part of the World Heritage site of ancient Thebes, which also includes Luxor, the Valley of the Queens, and Karnak.
Temple of Hatshepsut
The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Her tomb, KV20, lies inside the same massif capped by El Qurn, a pyramid for her mortuary complex. At the edge of the desert, 1 km east, connected to the complex by a causeway lies the accompanying valley temple. Across the river Nile, the whole structure points towards the monumental Eighth Pylon, Hatshepsut's most recognizable addition to the Temple of Karnak and the site from which the procession of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley departed.

My partner and I went for a mix of relaxation and culture. The experience balanced both perfectly. The cost covered luxury we wouldn't have booked ourselves. The week flew by in the best way. The atmosphere shifts beautifully from city energy to river calm. The Felucca ride in Aswan had just us and the sailor, no crowd at all. The cruise director was fantastic, organizing diverse daily activities. Best for couples wanting a balanced holiday. We opted for a hot air balloon over Luxor at dawn. Floating silently above the temples and the green valley as the sun rose was breathtakingly peaceful and a huge highlight.

A group of friends looking for fun and education found it here. The experience was social and insightful. The all-in price made splitting costs easy. Seven days was a great getaway length. The atmosphere on the ship's sundeck during the day was lively and fun. Sites like the Colossi of Memnon are open, so crowd size wasn't an issue. The bartenders on the cruise became our friends, making great cocktails. Best for friend groups. We still laugh about trying to pronounce pharaohs' names. Our guide made a game out of it, and the worst pronouncer had to buy the next round of drinks. Learning was a blast.

I traveled for business and stayed for this tour. The experience was a masterclass in efficient, rich travel. The fee is a premium for a premium, time-saving private service. A week is ideal to disconnect. The atmosphere in Old Cairo is a fascinating contrast of eras. Our guide arranged early access to the Giza plateau, so we had the Sphinx almost to ourselves. The driver was always on time and the car spotless. Best for busy professionals. Between meetings in Cairo and the cruise, the domestic flight was a smooth transition. It felt like two different vacations in one.

I went on this tour for business, extending a work trip. It was the perfect blend of leisure and learning. The experience was efficient and enriching. The package fee was a worthwhile investment for a seamless private tour. Seven days was a comprehensive escape. The atmosphere in Aswan was tranquil and beautiful. Crowds were minimal at Philae Temple, making it peaceful. The staff, from drivers to guides, were punctual and professional. Best for business travelers adding a personal retreat. After a long conference in Cairo, boarding the cruise in Aswan felt like entering a different world. The slow pace of river life was the perfect reset for my mind.

We were a couple seeking luxury and comfort. This tour delivered exactly that. The experience was consistently first-class. The premium cost reflects the 5-star hotels and cruise accommodation. A 7-day visit feels indulgent but not rushed. The atmosphere aboard the cruise ship is one of understated luxury. The crowd on our cruise was sophisticated and quiet. The ship's staff anticipated every need, from cocktail service on deck to turndown service. Best for travelers who prioritize comfort and service. One evening, they organized a galabeya party. We dressed in traditional robes, danced to Egyptian music, and laughed with new friends. It was joyful and felt authentically celebratory.

I traveled solo as an older traveler and felt completely cared for. The experience was safe, comfortable, and fascinating. The all-inclusive fee meant no stressful surprises. The week's length was manageable and fulfilling. The atmosphere is respectful and welcoming to solo visitors. Crowds at major sites are inevitable, but having a private guide creates a buffer. The Egyptologist guide was patient and adjusted the pace for me. Best for mature solo travelers. On the cruise, I loved having my own table by the window at meals, watching the riverbanks change from lush green to desert gold. It was a peaceful, reflective journey.

My friend and I, both photographers, chose this for the sights. The experience was a visual feast. The package with domestic flights saved us time to shoot in more locations. Seven days gave us golden hour at multiple iconic spots. The atmosphere at each site has its own unique light and shadow. Our guide understood our needs and found us the best angles away from the biggest crowds. The cruise staff even let us access the ship's bow for sunrise shots. Best for photography enthusiasts. We captured Abu Simbel at dawn. As the sun rose, the light slowly filled the temple's inner sanctuary, just as the ancient architects intended. A magical moment frozen in our cameras.

I traveled alone, and this program was ideal. The experience felt both adventurous and secure. The admission fee covered everything, so I never worried about extra costs. Seven days was the perfect length. The atmosphere on the Nile cruise was incredibly relaxing. Crowds at sites like the pyramids were manageable early in the morning. The staff, especially the Egyptologist guide, was knowledgeable and made history come alive. This is best for solo travelers seeking a deep cultural dive. My favorite part was the flight to Abu Simbel. Waking up before dawn and seeing those colossal temples emerge from the desert in the morning light was surreal. It felt like a true discovery. Back on the ship, dinners were a social highlight where I met other travelers.

We went as a couple for a special getaway. Our experience was pure romance blended with history. The all-inclusive fee made our holiday stress-free. A 7-day visit allowed us to fully unwind. The atmosphere on the luxury cruise ship was intimate and elegant. Crowd size was never an issue due to the private tour aspects. The cruise staff treated us like royalty, always attentive. Best for couples looking for a unique honeymoon or anniversary trip. A short story I'll always remember: On our first night aboard, we skipped the buffet and asked for tea on the top deck. A crew member arranged a private corner with blankets under the stars. We sailed past quiet villages with only the sound of the waves. It was magical.

I wanted to thank Cruisera company for my wonderful trip in Egypt. They tailormaid itenarary according to my wishes and needs, because I had 8 days and had very special needs. The booking went very easy. The booking manager – Abdol - was always ready to answer to all my questions. Cruisera stuff guided me starting from Cairo airport (I made my E-visa and didn’t wait in the line thanks to airport agent!) and to the departure desk))). They never left me alone, were very pleasant and mindful. I felt very calm and safe thanks for Cruisera stuff! This is the main thing for me. Egypt is very safe and hospitable place, I am 44 y.o. woman and safety is my priority 😊 Cruisera guides (Mohammad guided me from Luxor and during the Nile Cruise and Ahmed in Cairo) are professional, open-minded, very knowledgeable!! well-educated and very pleasant people. They can answer any question regarding history and culture Egypt. The itinerary was fantastic! The ship and all the cars were just excellent! My Egypt trip really exceeded my expectations. I think that is because the company is “boutique” and they can care about each guest as very special. this is something you will never get if you go to a big company – for example I shared my impressions with clients of “National Geographic Journeys” and I understood that for the same $ they were travelling in a big group. So I wholeheartedly recommend the CruisEra. P.S. There was one circumstance that spoiled the overall impression a little. Do not forget that Egyptians are Muslims and are required to fast. I came in the 1st day of Ramadan. My guides didn’t eat and drink, and I felt uncomfortable when I ate and drank when they were not allowed to do this. So my advise is better not to come in Ramadan if you are an empathic person))
