We had a great day with Cecelia. She was always nearby at each stop to tell us what we were looking at and answer questions. Even though it was a big bus tour, there were only about 20 in the group so we loved that. Everything was well organized from pick up to drop off. We had a good amount of time at each spot and didn’t feel rushed. We had originally planned to do one of the 3rd tunnel tours but it was closed on the day we wanted so we did this one on a Monday and were so happy we did. It wasn’t ever crowded and we were able to see some beautiful scenery and learn about some Korean War history.

Our guide Jonathan was an excellent guide and had very detailed explanations about all the historical and natural things you will need to know about Cheorwon. This was an amazing trip, very different to Paju DMZ tours, where you actually have the chance to see the DMZ's nature side. Specially, White Horse Hill (백마고지) was an incredible place to be. Also, we were able to know the natural wonders that Cheorwon county has to offer. Even though we were not able to visit the 로동당 building due to ungoing construction, this trip is totally worth it! I definetely recommend it

This is my second time to the DMZ—the first time I took the half day tour to the Dora observatory and that tunnel. I definitely like this one better. Cheorwon’s tunnel is cooler, the observatory about the same, but overall way prettier and less of a crowd in all my pictures! This one seems to be less commercialized too and more about the history of the DMZ. If I have more visitors come out to Korea, I’d take this one again. Time for this one was 7am-6pm, for the half day last time was 11am-7pm. Two suggestions: bring toilet paper as the stop on the way back does not have it, and have an umbrella if you go during monsoon season—no matter which trip you take! Jade is the tour guide and she’s easy to understand and really fun. I hope this helps!
