This is more than just a cooking class—it’s a journey into the heart of Spanish culture, tradition, and flavor. What makes this experience truly special is that you’ll be learning a cherished family recipe that has been passed down through generations. These are not just any churros; they are the same ones my grandmother used to make, following the authentic techniques that have stood the test of time.
Unlike mass-produced churros, we’ll make them from scratch, by hand, just like locals have done for years. You’ll mix, shape, and fry them to golden perfection, experiencing the true art of traditional Spanish churros and chocolate.
All of this takes place in my apartment's cozy kitchen, right in the heart of Malasaña, one of Madrid’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. Here, surrounded by the energy of the city, you’ll get a taste of authentic Spanish home cooking, far from the tourist traps.

5.00We had a great time with Michel! We have three kids, 10, 8 and 5, and they all got to be a part of making the churros and loved it! This was a perfect way to do a hands-on activity and Michel was so kind, informative and a great teacher! We definitely recommend.

5.00The churro-making class with Michel was absolutely incredible from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, Michel was so warm and welcoming, and meeting his lovely mum was such a wonderful bonus. We had the most enjoyable evening in their beautiful family home, learning how to make delicious churros from scratch. It was such a thoughtful touch to receive a printed churro recipe card to take home — and we even got to take the leftover churros with us (not that there were many left!). Michel’s mum kindly took photos throughout the evening, which was such a lovely gesture — it means so much to have those memories captured. We truly had an amazing, friendly, and heartwarming experience, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you, Michel (and your lovely mum), for making us feel so welcome and at home. 5.00WOW and WOW!! What an experience, we enjoyed how easy it is to making churros and how well Michel teaches the class. It was fun, very entertaining for the family and at the end we enjoyed the churros and chocolate together. Highly recommended.
