In this 2-hour “hands on” program, you will have the opportunity to learn interesting aspects of cocoa and chocolate, from its origin and history, participating in all the production process, from the harvesting of the fruit, drying and grinding of the seed, also the developing of the traditional drink of our ancestors, and of course enjoying a high quality organic chocolate.

5.00A fun and interesting day with Luis, our guide. The chocolate tour was educational and interactive, a really fun experience. Baldi hot springs is enjoyable and relaxing, especially on an uncrowded day. A delicious, buffet lunch of local foods was provided. The drive to/from can be long due to traffic conditions, but Luis made every minute interesting and enjoyable.

5.00Making our own chocolate from the beginning of the bean. Really fantastic! The guy who guided the tour is really funny and explains everything very well. And he started with a quiz. Tasting chocolate as much as you want at the end with all kinds of combinations in flavors.

5.00We loved this very informative private tour. We'll presented and the chocolate making process was explained completely. We got to taste the chocolate that we saw being made... It was yummy... We all had our own spoon and a very nice lady would drizzle some onto our spoon then you could add what flavours you like. My fav was sea salt and chilli. The Baldi hot springs part of the tour was slightly disappointing but only because we had been to the Tabacon hot springs before. There was a lot more walking involved at the Baldi and my husband has walking difficulties so not ideal. Tabacon hot springs are a classier place. We were glad we chose the private tour.. It was more personable than being on a bus with 30 or so people. We could stop for a break when we wanted.... Coffee or bathroom... And our driver Gerado gave us lots of interesting information about Costa Rica. Overall this tour was excellent value for money and very enjoyable
