I learned to cook where the best Mexican cooks learn: next to my grandmother.
I haven't stopped since. I have degrees in bakery and pastries from the Cloister of Sister Joan, and I just finished studying gastronomy, and together with my mom we have a cafeteria in the city. The kitchen is not my job, it's my world.
I have been creating gastronomic experiences for travelers from all over the world for more than a year, and what matters most to me is not that you learn a recipe, but that when you finish you feel that in Mexico you will always have a friend.
Each experience is different because each person is different. Welcome to Mexico:)

What if your best memory of Mexico wasn’t a museum or a photo, but the moment you tasted a sauce you made yourself in a Mexican house? This experience begins where Mexican cuisine really begins: at the market. Together we go to the San Cosme Market, in the San Rafael colony, one of the most authentic in the city, to choose the ingredients with your own hands. Then we go to my house, enter my kitchen, prepare 4 sauces that summarize centuries of Mexican gastronomy: a frit, a fresh, a tatemada and a creamy. Each with a different technique, each with a story behind it. The menu is suitable for vegetarians and we can adapt it to any food restriction. When we finished, we sat down to eat what we cooked. With water from Jamaica. And with a mezcal in between, because that's how it's celebrated in Mexico. You go home with four recipes that you can replicate, and with the seasoning that you only learn by doing it.

My wife and I loved this class. Veronica shared a wealth of knowledge on how to make salsas. We learned how to make 4 different kinds. It was hands-on which I enjoyed immensely and the result was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the salsa macha.

Veronica is an amazing host and guide; she alone makes this experience top notch. We are still talking about how special this was one day later. Every salsa made was so delicious; we cancelled our dinner plans because we couldn’t stop eating it. Veronica did an exceptional job of explaining everything and making it accessible (for people who are less knowledgeable of cooking / salsas). We absolutely recommend this to anyone! This experience is perfect for people visiting who want to get a real taste of the culture of this city.

This was a great experience. I like at the beginning we went shopping for the ingredients. Really reminds how easy it is to get what you need. The actual salsa making occurs in her apartment so the vibe is comfortable and laid back. I’m not a huge spicy person but I could handle all of them.

This was so much fun!! Veronica is a wonderful host and a patient and talented chef/teacher. We met at her local market where she taught us about picking the best ingredients to make four delicious salsas and how to pick the perfect cheese for quesadillas. She taught us how to prepare them with special touches to make each salsa authentic and delicious including some basic cooking and knife skills, which was fun for a novice like me. The fun experience and Veronica’s hospitality made this class a relaxing addition to our time in busy Mexico City.

Veronica led our group through the market and taught new tips and tricks about salsa ingredients. On the walk to her place she provided insight into local landmarks and traditions. She broke our group up into four teams which allowed us to make new friends. I shall treasure the colorful recipe cards she distributed.

It was great, all 4 salsas were delicious and even better with the quesadillas! Enjoyed the experience in a different neighborhood and visiting a home in Mexico.

A highly enjoyable few hours creating salsas from scratch. Learning traditional methods and recipes in an homely environment with someone who obviously loves her National cuisine.

Veronica was the absolute best - she met me outside the market and was really easy to find. We went shopping in the market and she explained why we were selecting certain ingredients, and then we went back to her place to cook up 4 delicious salsas! We played music and had delicious hibiscus tea and it was honestly like cooking with a friend. I would highly recommend this experience!

Perfect support during salsa production to be able to cook at home after. You will love it to go with tortialls, taccos or quesadillas. The 4 salsas produced were then tasted. I can only recommend the course.
