Silver Springs State Park
Where can you kayak or paddleboard and see monkeys, manatees and turtles all on the same day? On our Silver Springs Adventure. We paddle the Fort King paddle trail through lush forest and gorgeous turquoise waters to the spring head. Silver Spring was Florida's first tourist attraction which dates to the 1870s. We'll stop along the way to observe wildlife and make new friendships. The pictures here are stunning!

3.00Went on the Epic Adventures Saturday 1/23/26 Manatees and Monkeys Clear Kayak/Paddleboard Adventure at Silver Springs. -tour was not bad and guide was knowledgeable. -however a few items they really need to address: *way too many folks on our tour 20+ made it very difficult to hear what the guide was describing. *way too many other people in the waterways in general - as well as glass bottom boats turning around in kayaking areas. *they should cut down on the group sizes. *launch points extremely crowded at the state park…they really should consider going to a reservation system and only allow in a limited number of folks per day to the park. *video link contained in the reservation confirmation email for directions to launch site and finding your guide didn’t work. *overall this is a cool experience but they need to think this through a bit more.

Skip the Private Tour-Rent from the State Park Instead

1.00I wouldn’t recommend booking a private kayak tour like this. You’re better off just going directly to the state park and renting from the official concession—no guide is needed to paddle the route yourself. Even on the busiest days, the wait to rent was only up to about 30 minutes. With this tour, it’s easy to miss the guide because the meeting instructions/directions aren’t clear. At the launch area, 99% of people are lining up at the state park rental, so it’s confusing to figure out where this private tour is supposed to meet. Also, private tours are not allowed to complete the full river loop/circle route. That’s a big downside, because manatees tend to avoid crowds—you often need to do the larger loop to reach the quieter sections where you’re more likely to see them.

3.00A bit confusing checking in. Viator doesn't give good direction on what ro do. During the trip, we saw 1 manatee and 1 gator. Not what the ad makes it seem. A little disappointed. Guides were friendly. Since we didn't see much it was just a nice kayaking tour.

5.00Our kayak tour guides, Stevie and Ben, were absolutely fantastic on the Epic Paddle Adventures – Manatees and Monkeys Clear Kayak Adventure at Silver Springs. Stevie led the way with incredible knowledge and made the trip both interesting and peaceful. We learned so much about the wildlife around us and were lucky enough to see manatees, alligators, otters, numerous birds, and even a monkey in the trees! Stevie even shared photos from the trip with us, which was priceless. I can’t say enough positive things about our tour guides and Epic Paddle Adventures. I highly recommend them and will definitely book with them again in the future.
