Discover how to prepare Tave Kosi, one of the most delicious and unique dishes in Albanian cuisine. Join our cooking class in Tirana and immerse yourself in the rich flavors of Albanian food. A fascinating piece of history lies behind this dish, as it was once known as the "Independence Dish." It was a favorite of Ismail Qemali, the first Prime Minister of Albania after the country's declaration of independence in 1912. For the best experience, Tave Kosi is best enjoyed warm, served in its traditional bowl. This dish can be prepared year-round due to the availability of its simple ingredients. While Tave Kosi can be made with either lamb or veal, the traditional recipe calls for lamb, which brings out the authentic flavors of this beloved dish.

5.00Absolutely fabulous ...cannot praise enough .from start to finish the day was well organised . excellent communication ...great fun and so much information as well as practical hands on experience resulting in a fabulous long lazy ( alcoholic!) lunch under the brolly listening to rain and eating and quaffing and chatting ...sinidi was fabulous fun and so informative .highly highly recommend.youd be mad not to book it honestly.top notch !!! :-)

5.00We have been in Albania for two weeks and we have loved every minute of it! But this cooking class has been the highlight! Sindhi makes the class so enjoyable. 5.00Cindi was SO accommodating and friendly and went out of her way to make sure we all had the best time together. The food was delicious and the recipes easily accessible for later. She told us all about how her business has grown over the years and was so kind to my friend who had just moved to Tirana, offering to help her out in any way possible. There were only 4 of us in our particular class as some pulled out last minute I believe, but we all became good friends throughout the session and much laughter was shared! Could not recommend this experience enough.

5.00I would give this 10 stars if I could. Our host was amazing! Very cordial and really got us all involved. We had a small group of 4 - two singles and a couple and it was fabulous! So much food… I wish I could have taken leftovers but they didn’t go to waste since the other single took them with her.

5.00I had such an amazing experience at this cooking class in Tirana! Sindi, our host, was exceptional from start to finish—so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. Even though we arrived a little late due to Tirana traffic as we were coming from Durrës, she made us feel completely at ease straight away. The food was absolutely delicious, and getting to cook traditional dishes ourselves made it even more special. The homemade wine and olive oil were truly incredible—some of the best I’ve ever tasted! Overall, it was just a fantastic experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Tirana—you won’t regret it!

5.00I’ve never done a cooking class before and if all the others are like this, then WOW! Highly recommend booking. Not only is the teacher brilliant and super fun, the group atmosphere really made this experience worth it. The food was delicious, and the relaxed setting of the home really felt like you got an authentic experience.
