City and Wine
Visit 2 or 3 artisan, family owned Hungarian winery at the country-side near Budapest. You will meet the winemakers and they will not only present their best wines, but you will be served with home made meal and/or traditional Hungarian flavored bites, depending the option you select. Taste 6-12 glasses wine in total and indulge the best tastes in a genuine Hungarian country-side environment. The Morning tour option offers you a quick journey to the countryside, with the tasting of 8 glasses of wine and completing your experience with a delicious home made Lunch. The Afternoon tour with Dinner option is a full-scale wine and meal experience in the countryside with 12 glasses of wine and a home-made Dinner. The Gastro-Bites with Wine tour offers a nice afternoon excursion to the Wine region where the focus is on showing the unique flavors of the Hungarian kitchen, with home made pate, sausage and many more, accompanied with 6 glassses of quality wine.

5.00Guide was super knowledgeable and well versed in the area and about the local wine industry. We had a lovely tour of two vineyards both with their own charm. Lunch was delicious tradition fare. Transportation was very comfortable. All in all an amazing experience good value

5.00We had a fabulous time visiting 3 small wineries that all offered a wonderful tasting. Our dinner meal was delightful and delicious, prepared by the winery owner and representative of a typical Hungarian meal. The chestnut dessert was incredible and like nothing I have ever had. Our guide Susan did a fabulous job, providing some historical information as we left Budapest and the giving us information about the wine region we were visiting. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00This was the best tour! Small group - just 8 of us and Julianna, our guide and driver. She was amazing and the perfect person to tell us about the wine in that region. The two wineries we visited were quaint, with great wines, but I liked they were two different types of facilities. Both were in their homes, but one was in a small neighborhood, with the tasting room above the pressroom, and the second was a dining room in a home, where we were also treated to lunch. I can't recommend this tour and Julianna, enough!

5.00Susan was our guide. We had three other visitors with us. Two were from Scotland and one from South Africa. We're American. It was nice to meet them and share our travel experiences with each other. We were picked up and driven about 20 minutes outside the city. We got a nice history lesson of the area from Susan then stopped at our first winery. This is a small family owned operation and the owner could not have been nicer. ALL of the wines were very good. After that stop, we went to a second winery with a family that also runs a B&B out of their home. We were served a DELICIOUS homemade traditional meal and saw some of their operation before heading back. My partner and I both enjoyed it and were glad we had made time for the tour.

5.00Comfortable large van ride. 3 wineries with 4 appropriate small pours of local Hungarian wines at each place and a home cooked chicken paprika dinner at the last winery. The star was our guide Michael with his knowledge, humor and easy rapport with us guests and the vintners.

2.00Very tiny mini van we were packed in there it was a very rough ride and hot. To make matters worse a guest before had thrown up on seat in front of me. I had to look and smell dried vomit on the 45 min ride to first winery. When I told driver to his credit he did clean it. First winery was quaint and wine was pretty good. At second winery everyone in our group poured out 3 of the 4 wines.

4.00The tour guide Michael was very knowledgeable and personable but I’m not sure I can rave about this tour. We drink a lot of good wine and weren’t expecting the wines to be great, so they were about we expected. We did expect to have more to taste. There were only 2 wineries and 7 wines to taste and we were expecting more for the price we paid.
Good tour but ask about dinner included so you can plan accordingly.

3.00The pick up time was good, the guide and driver were good and the ride to the wine region. The two wineries were good, there was no pressure to buy wines. The downside which was reasonably substantial was that after second winery visit we started back to Budapest to drop the guests back to their pick up points. Quite a few of us wondered where is the dinner that is clearly explained in the description? There’s mentioned of Hungarian bites but also dinner was included. There wasn’t any explanation why either. My impression was that quite a few on the tour chose the tour because it included a traditional Hungarian dinner. That should’ve been clearly explained to us at the beginner in case some chose to cancel or make other plans. That was disappointing end to the tour. I’m not sure I could recommend this tours to others
