Tour Guide Rushed Through The Tour

3.00Our tour guide rushed through the tour and gave us less time at all the places of interest than was intended. At the citadel, we were not given an hour to explore and given less than an hour at the Bibliotheca. The tour ended 2 hours earlier than the planned time. It seemed as though she just wanted to be done with the tour as soon as possible. If we were given the appropriate time, we would have been able to have more time to explore and take more pictures of the places. We felt rushed. The itinerary and places to visit on the tour is very well planned if the tour guide follows the timeline. This is the first tour guide who has rushed through a tour. I should have looked at the timeline and questioned her during the tour. Now, I will make sure to know the timeline on all future tours so that this does not happen to us again. The driver was very nice and felt safe driving with him. Driver very punctual and on time.

5.00Mahmoud was an excellent driver. He stopped to get us water and snacks. We got us to Alexandria and took us to all the locations we wanted to see and we were able to do it on our time and not feel rushed. We also werent hasseled by anyone on the streets as we walked around because he would speak up for us. When he dropped us off he took us straight to our train station in a timely manner to ensure we had time to relax before getting on our train. We highly recommend him.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money

2.00I recently booked the Day-Trip to Alexandria from Cairo by Private Car and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The tour was advertised as lasting approximately 10–12 hours, but it ended in just 7 hours. We were picked up at 7 a.m. and dropped off by 2 p.m., which was far from what was promised. The biggest letdown was the tour guide Neriman. She offered only minimal explanations, seemed uninterested throughout, and rushed through the sites without waiting for us to follow properly. Her English was poor, making it very difficult to understand her, which further diminished the experience. It felt like she just wanted to get the job over with. Had we known the guide would be this unprofessional, we would have opted for the car + admission only package instead. The tour was simply not worth the amount we paid. All four of us felt the same level of disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend this tour based on our experience.
