5.00I wanted to see more of Egypt after visiting the Giza Necropolis, so I took a private, full day trip to Alexandria. The driver picked me up at my hotel at the scheduled time and drove to Alexandria, where we met my guide. My guide was great and extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed my time with her. I prefer private tours because it affords you the opportunity to ask a lot of questions of your guide - something that you can't do on a large group tour. We saw most of the sites on the itinerary and then stopped for a wonderful lunch overlooking the Mediterranean coast. After lunch we completed the tour by visiting the remaining sites. The trip was worth it to me to see antiquities from the Roman times. There is a lot of history in Alexandria's past. We moved quickly as I did not want to spend too much time at any site but it was still a 10-hour trip by the time I got back to my hotel in Giza.

5.00The tour was great, Nasrin was very knowledgeable and Alexandria is her hometown so she knows it well! We were transported from our hotel in Cairo and delayed by a temporary closure on the highway due to fog, but our driver was not ruffled and Nasrin adjusted to our delay and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour of a city with an amazingly international history.

5.00From being picked up timely at our hotel to the very onset of the tour our tour guide gave us an incredible tour of Alexandria. From the Catacombs to the Amphitheatre to the Library, stopping for an incredible Kosher Lunch and finally finishing up any the Citadel. We never once felt rushed in fact it so much walking without an stress giving so much additional roaming time at each stop. This a must stop on your visit to Cairo.

5.00The day trip to Alexandroa from Cairo was a bit hectic but worthwhile. The Catacombs, the Alexandria Library and the Citidel were the highlights. The guide gave a good explanation of the sites and the lunch was great in a resturant on the water.

Mahmoud was a great safe driver, a friendly conversationalist w/ both of us sometimes using a Translator and he even helped me make a detour to currency exchange afterwards (much appreciated). Neerma (spelling?), the expert guide, was very knowledgeable, provided time for me to wander the sites independently, and was very personable. All in all - a great fun and educational way to spend the day.
