Start this wonderful culinary tour at 10am, with a pick up from your accommodation by an authorized local guide with Mercedes Minivan . Small group (Maximum 8 Guests) is guaranteed. You will continue your trip driving through Sicilian Villages, admiring local and authentic lava-stone houses, listen charming stories about Sicilian culture, tradition and food. Here You enjoy views on the best Etna vineyards. You will stop at the first venue, a small family running winery, where You will start with a glass of cool white wine. After a guided visit of cellars you will start wine and cold appetizers tasting. Tasting will include: 5 glasses of Etna wine, locally produced cheeses, salami, olives, sun-dried tomatoes. The second stop will be in a antique and unique restaurant/farmhouse. Here you continue your food and wine tour that include the Typical Mount Etna delicatessen and wine. This is a must-do experience. Antonio was very animated and provided a very enjoyable tour along the way to the winery, which was beautiful. We enjoyed some appetizers and some great wine at Palermo Costanzo Winery and from here we were taken to a wonderful restaurant for a great lunch. The people we met on the tour were amazing and made this experience all the more enjoyable.

After 1 hr drive from Taormina we made our first stop at a lovely Etna winery with tastings of very good wines and accompanying snacks. The second stop was a typical Italian lunch with wine. A lovely day out and our guide was excellent. If you’re into food and wine we would recommend this day trip.

Very fun trip with Carlos. He was very kind and had a lot of story and information about the local areas. The food were good and the wine tasting was fantastic. We got to taste three different types of wine and all was very good. We also had a chance to taste some limonecello. The transport was good with air condition.

Our guide Carlos was friendly and got us where we needed to go; however we would’ve liked to hear more from him about the countryside we passed through, the culture and the people. The winery and restaurant we visited were excellent. The only issue was that our pickup location was not clear. We were told pickup was “in front” of our resort; however there was no front area there. A bit more accuracy would’ve been appreciated.

INCREDIBLE FOOD! Great wines! The tour and winery were so good. It’s a long drive and it’s winding roads so take Dramamine if you get carsick. But worth every penny and minute!
