Pingvellir National Park

Few locations in the world provide a finer and clearer perspective of this vast geographic activity than Thingvellir National Park, home to one of the most amazing natural wonders in the world: tourists can observe the effects of two moving tectonic plates: the North American and Eurasian ones. The national park is frequently referred to as "The Galapagos of the North" because it is also home to Iceland's largest natural lake and is home to a wide variety of fish and bird species! Thingvellir, the location of the parliament's founding in 930 AD, is deeply ingrained in Icelandic national history. The translation of "Thingvellir" is "Parliament Plains." Because of this, the park is a must-visit location for anybody interested in Icelandic history or culture.

Great tour with Hilmur as our guide, who was very knowledgeable of the geology and culture of the area. Expect icy conditions in December so dress accordingly. Fabulous sights and highly recommended.

We had a wonderful day tour of the golden circle with Cora/Kora as our guide. The tour contains many beautiful scene showcasting the divers and extreme landscapes of Iceland all mixed it with folklore and rich history that was entertaininly presented by our guide. The golden circle tour from Troll is particularly nice as the extra stop at Bruarfoss is total worth having.

It was a good experience. The tour guide was very patient. I chose a one-day tour because I was going to the south coast of Iceland the next day, but I didn't miss the place I wanted to go because I only had one day. Depart at 9 a.m. and arrive in Reykjawick at 5 p.m.

What a great day! Despite the few hours of daylight our tour guide Bjorn timed everything perfectly meaning we got to see every stop in the light plus a good few more. The sights were great and not too busy and Bjorn's insight between the stops made for a really enjoyable day. The only downside is if you're tall the minibus seats don't have loads of legroom - my husband is 6ft 5 and was feeling very squashed by the end of the day but this is a very minor issue.

It was an incredible journey! Bjorn(our gude/driver) is absolutely superb! We visited so many gorgeous places, and it was full of interesting insightful stories about Iceland! 10 out of 5!

This tour is a must do if visiting Iceland. I especially picked this one as most of the Golden Circle trips didnt include Bruarfoss and this did. The most stunning blue water, well worth visiting so if you're stuck between which company to use and you like waterfalls, pick this one. You won't be disappointed.
