Your adventure begins at 9:00 AM at Takayama Station, where you’ll meet your guide and set off in private transport for a scenic drive to Norikura. As you travel, enjoy the picturesque countryside, charming villages, and winding mountain roads that set the stage for the alpine beauty ahead. As the journey ascends into the mountains, enjoy the stunning views along the Norikura Skyline. This scenic road offers glimpses of alpine landscapes, distant peaks, and the beauty of the highlands, making the drive an exciting start to the day’s adventure. At around 10:30 AM, arrive at the Tatamidaira Parking Lot, the gateway to Mt. Norikura’s alpine wonders. Begin with a leisurely walk through the Alpine Flower Field, where vibrant seasonal blooms stand out against the dramatic backdrop of rugged peaks. The tranquil atmosphere invites you to pause, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and appreciate the unique charm of this elevated haven.

After lunch, the adventure continues with a hike to Mt. Mao, the nearest peak to the Tatamidaira Parking Lot. The trail is easy and well-suited for beginners and families, taking approximately 15 minutes to reach the summit. As you ascend, enjoy the mountain air and the sense of achievement that comes with reaching the top. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Japanese Alps, offering an incredible perspective of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

I had the privilege to spend a lovely day in the Mountains. I felt very comfortable being accomoanied by the tour Guide Hemi who was taking care of me from the beginning until the end. Starting to stop at an inconvinient Store picking up sth. for lunch and especially when we were heading to the top of the Mountains asking me if I feel still comfortable concerning my physical Constitution (3000 mt.) . The hking Tour starts smooth and rises up to a Level which is good to manage if you are from Time to time in the Mountains or on a Trail. The views are so georgeous and so different - we had the luck having blue sky combined with Clouds which offers us different Kind of Impressions. We managed to hike to the top of three Mountains with up to 100 altitude. I would highly recommend this tour to everybody who wants to spend a relaxing time in Japanese Mountains to get to know the great nature while everything is organized perfectly.
