Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

The route is easy for most people. However, please keep in mind that it is a natural trail and includes over 100 steps along the way, so a basic level of physical fitness is required.

Don’t forget to bring comfortable clothing and proper walking shoes, flip-flops or similar footwear are not suitable for this

The hanging bridges are 5 to 15 meters above the ground, not especially high, but may feel slightly uncomfortable for those with severe vertigo.

During the summer months, don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel if you’d like to take a refreshing dip in the natural pools. Water shoes are also recommended if you find the rocks uncomfortable, though they’re optional.

Be sure to bring enough water to stay hydrated during the hike

On hot days, it’s highly recommended to bring a hat or cap, as well as sunscreen.

Bring your own packed food.

Please note that the route includes over 100 steps, which may be challenging for those with knee problems, reduced mobility, or low physical fitness

The village of Chulilla serves as a gateway to the Turia River Canyon, where breathtaking trails await exploration. Marvel at the beauty of the canyon, cross the iconic Hanging Bridges, admire the Charco Azul (a natural pool nestled between cliffs), and enjoy a unique landscape of rugged cliffs and dramatic views at every turn. Along the way, discover the rich flora and fauna that thrive in this natural paradise. Our adventure follows the Hanging Bridges Hike, a scenic trail alongside the Turia River that takes about two hours at a relaxed pace. After the hike, you will have free time to explore one of the most beautiful villages in Valencia province, the village of Chulilla at your own pace. Choose between a small group tour (max 8 travelers) or a private tour for a more personalized adventure. During the summer months, we add an extra highlight to the experience: a visit to beautiful natural pools, the perfect place to refresh yourself with a swim after the hike.

Our guide, Pau, was a great guide. His knowledge of the area, vegetation and animals was greatly appreciated. He even found a single stalk of wild asparagus and shared with the group. 😋 This hike was easy and doable for most people. My husband and I were so happy, we planned another hike with Pau. We highly recommend this hike. 🥾

I had a lot of fun. I loved the hike, Chulilla town and the charming place we went for a swim at the end. We had enough time at the village and I decided to visit the castle (what was a bonus to the experience) with another couple of solo travellers. Pau was very helpful and even gave us some recommendations for our Valencia holidays. We also learnt with him a lot about the place, flora and fauna. I thought everything was very well organised and that it was a great selection of settings to explore and enjoy. Thanks for the beautiful memories, Pau!

My mum and I had a day spare in Valencia and wanted to get out of the city. We are really happy that we booked this trip. Pau was an excellent guide, friendly and knowledgeable. He took photos for us using his own phone that he then sent to us after. We enjoyed the hike which was around an hour and a half and done first before the day got too hot. We then had time in the village to relax and look around before heading to the area for wild swimming/sun bathing. I really appreciated that Pau was in touch with us the day before our trip to confirm logistics. Overall a great day and I recommend this trip.

This was a well lead tour. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The trail was easy, but the water in the river was very cold so we did not swim in the river. We were taken to another river where we could swim.

We had the best time on this tour. Pau was so knowledgable and gave us all sorts of information about the Flora and Fauna of the area. The walk is stunning and the views are absolutely beautiful. I’d highly recommend this trip when visiting Valencia. Definitely a favourite experience for us!
