With a total duration of 6 hours - including transport, the hike itself lasts between 3 - 5 hours, covering a distance of 4 - 6 km with an elevation gain of 300 to 400m. The terrain is uneven, rocky, and can be wet in some areas, making sturdy shoes are mandatory. Your private guide will lead you through breathtaking open landscapes, untouched wilderness, and panoramic fjord views, offering an authentic Norwegian hiking experience. The trail consists of uneven and rugged terrain, requiring some mountain hiking experience. Over the course of 3 to 5 hours, you will ascend 300 to 400m to reach a stunning summit overlooking the fjord. The journey begins in Bergen, where you will meet your guide in the city center. The specific hiking destination—Mt. Hananipa, Mt. Bruviknipa, or Mt. Arnanipa—will be carefully chosen by the guide based on weather conditions, group dynamics, and guest preferences. Please bring a small backpack with a packed lunch, plenty of water, warm and waterproof clothing, sunglasses, and appropriate footwear. While running shoes or tough sneakers may be suitable, hiking boots are highly recommended for optimal comfort and safety. Your guide will provide a traditional Norwegian snack and ensure a safe and enjoyable journey, sharing insights into the local landscape, history, and culture along the way.

5.00We had a wonderful day hiking in the hills above the fjord with Gaute of Norway Mountain Guides. He was friendly and informative and got us up and down from the peak before the rain! One of the best days of our family trip! We also appreciated the help in booking beforehand. We had only a Sunday free for the hike and some of the public tours were not available but this was a perfect solution - and not much more expensive for a group of four. Highly recommend!

5.00Fabulous experience. Even better than the glorious sights was our guide, Øystein. His love of his country and the local landscape was infectious. He could not have been kinder or more accommodating to our group. The hike itself was stunningly beautiful. Our picnic overlooking the fjord was an experience I will treasure. Can't recommend highly enough!

5.00With a company of 10 persons we went to Norway to do this hike. What a great day and evening with BBQ and setting up camp with an open fire we had! Frenk is youre guide to take you along. He knows how to explain everything in a manner thats is very pleasant. Is knowlegdeable about hiking, the fjords, nature, camping and very pleasant companionship. If youre able you should truly do this with him to have a great experience.

5.00The organization was impeccable. Frank reached out to us the day before to review options and possibilities. Given the very muddy soil, he also adapted in real time our hike. Our family had an absolutely fabulous day thanks to Frank and we truly appreciated his attention, knowledge and stories. Cannot recommend strongly enough his company.
