At Smile Organic Farm, we do not teach you only how to cook Thai food. Our school is set in a beautiful, serene organic farm and garden, you will learn how to grow vegetables and taste herbs in our own garden, as well as cooking and enjoy your food in a relaxing atmosphere.
Smile Organic Farm is located 45 minutes away from Chiang Mai old city; near San Kamphaeng Hot Springs. We will stop at a local market on the way to the school, you will see the traditional way of life of locals who live in the countryside of Chiang Mai.
We have an organic kitchen garden where we grow everything by ourselves; grow with love as we wish to have good health. We use them to cook our own healthy Thai food and we also proudly provide them for your dishes. All dishes are available as vegetarian or vegan,
Teachers are experienced, fun, and able to give students personal help. Our recipes are beneficial and easy to be recreated at home and students will receive E-book for all recipes by email.

We will pick you up at your hotel/accommodation in Chiang Mai city, and take you to a local market for a brief visit before continuing to drive to Smile Organic Farm Cooking School. On arrival, we will explain the menu we provide and you can choose your own menu for cooking in each category. After that, you will learn about Thai herbs and vegetables in our organic kitchen garden, and following by cooking activities. You will learn basic Thai cooking in 8 categories; Curry Paste, Curry, Stir-Fried, Soup, Spring Roll, Thai Salad, Dessert, and Herbal Drink. Every menu is able to cook as vegetarian or vegan. You can decide to make your food spicy or mild. Next, you will enjoy yummy Thai food you cook yourself in our relaxing atmosphere. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel/accommodation in Chiang Mai city. The price Adults (9-75 Years) for participants and The Price Children 4-8 Years for visitors. - Children above 9 years old are able to have their own cooking stations as participants. - Children between 0-3 years old are free of charge.

5.00Fun day outside. We briefly toured a local market and saw some exotic fruits, then learned to make all kinds of tasty traditional dishes. The staff did all the hard work cleaning and giving us the ingredients in the correct quantities and guided us through each step. All the dishes came out great. We also got to drink fresh hibiscus tea and tour their organic garden. Our teacher Natty was really sweet and fun and helped us with everything. We had a beautiful fun day all cooking and eating together! I went alone but there were some other solo travelers there and everyone was friendly.

5.00From the moment I walked into this cooking school, I felt welcomed, inspired, and excited to learn. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and every detail reflected a genuine passion for food, culture, and hospitality. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and engaging, making even complex techniques feel approachable and fun. I loved how hands-on the experience was — not just following recipes, but truly understanding the ingredients, flavors, and traditions behind each dish. What made this experience especially memorable was the sense of connection and joy throughout the class. Cooking here felt less like a lesson and more like sharing a beautiful cultural experience with friends. By the end, I left not only with delicious dishes and new skills, but also with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for cooking. I would highly recommend this cooking school to anyone looking for an authentic, meaningful, and unforgettable culinary experience. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip.

5.00The cooking course was so fun. It was well planned out with us being busy all day. We were there from 8 am till 4 pm. Our teacher Love was amazing, he knew so much about the food and was so nice. He made the day so fun and tried our food to tell us how to improve. We get to take home the recipe. It cost 1200 baht, which is so worth it. Be careful the food is spicyyy.
