Mythical beasts, tall tales and dramatic scenery: explore the beauty of Scotland in a day on this one day coach tour.
Leaving from Edinburgh, we head northwest passing famous landmarks such as Linlithgow Palace: birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, the mystical Kelpies, and the dramatically perched Stirling Castle.
Continuing north we arrive in Glencoe for some photos of the dramatic ridges called the Three Sisters.
We stop in the Fort William area for lunch before heading into the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
Heading further into the highlands we arrive in the small picturesque village of Fort Augustus - you can choose to take part in an optional boat cruise here.
The road home will be time to relax and take in the Highland scenery. Final refreshment stop is at the historic town of Pitlochry before continuing the journey home over the Firth of Forth alongside UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge enroute back into Edinburgh.

Neil did an amazing job turning a long day into an engaging and informative tour of the highlands. As well as the listed itinerary, Neil threw in some extra stops, which with his local knowledge, he knew would be great for us to see/ experience. We loved his "twisted" sense of humour throughout the day, and the Scottish tunes that were played between stops. The scenery in Autumn is besutiful, even on a rainy day. If you do get the chance to book a tour during your stay in Edinburgh, do it with Stewart tours.

Thank you to Niel Stewart Tours for this wonderful trip through the Highlands, Glencoe and Loch Ness! Thank you for your stories and your playlist that made the journey so enjoyable, and a huge thank you for going out of your way to retrieve my bank card from across the country – a gesture that reminds us that humanity exists and that one of our missions is to nurture it in our own way. Truly, thank's! The landscapes were stunning, and this trip was a deeply human, tourist, and discovery-filled experience!

I genuinely felt like I was with an older brother who cared about every single person on the tour. Many guides focus purely on the commercial side, but with Neil it was completely different — he advised us with honesty and explained everything with full transparency, even the smallest details. I was traveling alone, yet I never felt lonely for a moment. Despite how much knowledge he shared, the way he delivered it was light, engaging, and never boring at all. He has a great sense of humor, very kind, and it’s clear he truly loves what he does. From the moment I stepped onto the bus until the very last minute, he carried the same positive, beautiful energy. Thank you, Neil you made the experience unforgettable.

Neil was a great guide and driver! The bus Company should consider that the seatbelts in the bus are hurting tall peoples quite a lot. So much that I couldnt wear it. But very beautiful trip and Neil was brilliant!

Neil did an absolute great job. Charismatic, knowledgeable, personable, and kept the energy going. He even made my birthday extra special by singing happy birthday and playing the birthday song for me in the bus. Keep up the great work Neil!
