Take this time-travelling adventure through a fantastic array of Outlander sights on a small group day trip from Edinburgh. With a maximum group size of 16 passengers, you are sure to have a memorable and personal experience on this special day trip for fans of the show and history lovers.

Min. age 5 years old. We do not accept children under the age of 5 years.
Luggage Allowance: You're restricted to 20kg (44lbs) of luggage per person. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus one small bag for onboard personal items.

Midhope Castle - We reserve tickets for you. If you want to visit this attraction, please purchase your ticket whilst on tour.
In order to retain the integrity of the tour and try to ensure that all our customers have the best possible experience, we do cap bookings from any one party to 8 passengers.
Culross Palace is closed over the winter months. Tickets are not included in the tour price.
*Please note that we will be unable to visit Midhope Castle on 10, 24, 27, and 31 January. On these days, we will allow extra time at the other stops. However, photo stops can be made on all other days not mentioned above. Additionally, please note that winter closure of Midhope Castle will take place from 5th of January -26 February. During this period, a photo stop is still possible, but it will not be possible to go up to the castle itself.

Midhope Castle
Midhope Castle is your next highlight. Unfortunately, visitors are unable to go inside the castle, but Jamie’s lovely Lallybroch home is still an essential photo opportunity for any fan of the show. Jamie’s family home, Lallybroch, is as lovely as it looks in the show.
Blackness Castle
Blackness Castle entrance included in tour price. The tough-looking castle looks like it could fend off an entire empire. And in Outlander, it impersonates Fort William.

5.00I loved this experience. Our guide was perfect. He was sweet and kind and patient and very knowledgeable. The pace was perfect and we loved the time we got at each castle. It was wonderful. I loved the small group experience. Would do this again. In fact, we will look into Rabbies tours in all future travels.

3.00This was a scenic and interesting tour to have a break from the city and see some of the local countryside. I've never watched the tv series but chose the tour as the places to visit looked pretty. Even though had 4 visits to various castles, all were very different. Neil the guide was very informative not only for those who were on the tour due to the tv series but on Scottish and local topics as well. I would have rated this tour 5 stars. However, although I enjoyed the tour I was disappointed that due to a miscount on bus at last pick up point I got left behind. I had got time wrong and showed up 5 mins late and bus was gone. I stayed at stop for 5 mins then started doubting I was even at the right place. I then went towards the other end of town to another bus point, but a passer-by informed me there was no bus there either. This then made me quite panicky as I didn't know how I would get back to Edinburgh. Thankfully, about another 10 mins later, the bus came back, but it was not an enjoyable experience to feel I had been abandoned.

5.00This is a must do for any Outlander fan, we really enjoyed seeing so many of the locations not only as fans of the show but as history lovers too. Our guide Kieran was brilliant so knowledgeable making even the drive between stops interesting. We would definitely recommend this tour!

5.00What a fabulous day we had on the Outlander tour. Our driver and guide Penny was amazing. Her driving skills, commentary and knowledge were excellent. All the locations were brilliant. The snow made it more magical. Thanks again.

5.00We had a great day overall on the Outlander tour. Kieran was an excellent guide—funny, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history and the show. His custom playlist was a great touch, and he included just the right amount of Outlander music without overdoing it. He even acted out a few scenes, which made the experience memorable and fun. Nice that there's spots to get coffee and use the restroom before departure. That said, a couple of stops were a bit disappointing. The time at Linlithgow Palace felt loosely structured, with some areas closed and limited lunch options. The biggest letdown was arriving at Midhope Castle only to find it closed. After traveling that far, missing such an iconic location was tough, especially since it’s such a central part of the Outlander experience. We understand that closures are not Rabbie’s fault, but it did impact the overall experience. Still, Kieran’s energy and storytelling made the day enjoyable, and we appreciated his effort to make the tour special!

4.00Well run tour in a comfortable bus. The guide was friendly, helpful and extremely patient. We got to see everything except that Lally Broch was closed for the winter (disappointing). Would have preferred more behind the scenes Outlander information but the history commentary was engaging regardless.

Very good, top of a guide we had. Alasdair hat in its knowledge , friendly and neat . And the outfit in this weather.

4.00The tour was well managed and the stops were as advertised. The tour guide tended to go off script and ramble about unrelated history. He barely seemed to know anything about this tour subject matter. The historical sites were great as well as movie sets.
