2.00Giethoorn is a very quaint village that is overrun by far too many tourists. The crowds on the footpaths, in the restaurants, and especially in the canals where it was bow to stern boat traffic was particularly disappointing. To add insult to injury, the tour company, Cherry Tours, committed the unforgivable blunder of designating their meeting/pickup spot exactly where five thousand runners were marshaling for a marathon. The one bright spot was a tour guide, Amy, who was knowledgeable, friendly and informative.Giethoorn is a lovely village until the tourist invaders show up.

5.00Veronica was wonderful! Our day trip was fun, informative, and stress-free. We learned so much and had fun while doing it! Her knowledge of the towns we traveled to and of Dutch culture was impressive. Would recommend to anyone!
Tour was significantly not as described we did not have a full day in Geithoorn as per our voucher

1.00My husband and I paid a lot of money to go to Geithoorn for the day. A few hours before the tour the guide called us to say she will change the itinerary and take us half day to Giethoorn and half day in Zaanse Schans. I told her that we already went on a tour to Zaanse Schans the day before but she did not care. Our trip was ruined as our time in Geithoorn was rushed. Its pretty shady to call customers a few hours before and change the itinerary completely and even though I complained she did not care. We paid a lot of money and travelled from Australia many hours to get to Amsterdam to do this tour and this tour operator ruined our experience no other tour operator in Europe did this only this tour operator we are very upset about how we were treated

5.00Beautiful town and so neat to see such a small Venice like canals but so clean . Nice way to spend a day there. History from the guide Veronica was excellent. Only Wish she slow down a bit to let us absorb the beauty in Giethoorne.
