The goal of this day trip is to take you away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona and, to let you enjoy the Mediterranean breeze. This experience has been designed for the outdoors, art, and nature lovers.
As soon as we leave Barcelona we immerse ourselves in the Catalan countryside. The first stop is Girona (Game of Thrones?). A perfect mix of history, architecture, and...food! We will take a nice stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town and the Roman Walls.
Right after we will move into the Catalan Countryside, we deserve to be surrounded by nature. The second stop is Peratallada, probably the most charming and less-known medieval village in the Empordà region. A nice stroll around and a few pictures later we will take you for lunch at Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village formed by several coves that still preserve the charm of the villages of the area, with narrow streets and some traditional two-floor fishermen’s dwellings.

Eiffel Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles)
Built circa 1877 and perhaps the most famous bridge in Girona made by Mister Eiffel, yes the same one of the Eiffel Tower. We will walk over the bridge on our way to the old town.

5.00Gillium (William) was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and brought it to life as we explored the medieval villages. I especially loved racing up the Game of Thrones steps with my fellow travelers! He also introduced us to the best gelato in the world. Every moment of the experience was unforgettable! I highly recommend this tour!

4.00This tour was fabulous! I really enjoyed the small group aspect—it allowed us to travel to several places while getting to know each other along the way. Our guide, Yorgos (better known as Papa Bear), was a friendly giant—so sweet, humorous, and genuinely interested in getting to know each of us. He made the day feel personal and fun. The stops were incredible! Girona was a highlight, and I loved how Papa Bear tailored the experience to our interests. Since many of us were Game of Thrones fans, he pointed out all the filming locations and even made sure we had time to snap some great photos. One tip: have a big breakfast! We didn’t have lunch until Costa Brava, and by then we were starving. That said, Papa Bear did make a couple of snack and drink stops earlier in the day, which helped. The medieval village of Peratallada was fascinating—who knew Spain had so many Roman ruins? And Costa Brava was absolutely stunning. I was so glad we had two hours of free time there—I even managed to squeeze in a swim in the crystal-clear sea! I really appreciated how the tour gave us time to explore independently, breaking up the day nicely and giving us a mental break from all the information. I would definitely recommend this tour!

5.00We had a fantastic time during this tour and it’s been our favorite experience of our trip. We went as a group of 6 with our kids (14, 13, and 5). We also had another couple on our tour, making us a group of 8. Guillaume, our guide, was exceptional at including everyone and pacing our day so that each person (adult and kids alike) had those “wow” moments. The day did not feel rushed and, in fact, Guillaume even helped us book restaurants in our last city so that I could eat somewhere safe for my allergy (Celiac). His hospitality and expertise really made the tour. This is worth every penny and then some. If you’re in the fence, trust me, and just book it! It will truly be the star of your trip.
