This is undoubtedly one of the best combinations of tourist attractions near Bogotá; The day begins with a visit to the Guatavita Lagoon, famous for being the place where the Muiscas performed the ritual that gave rise to the legend of El Dorado; This place has an overwhelming beauty that can only be understood by visiting it. Then, we cross the savannah to reach the municipality of Zipaquirá; You will know the First Wonder of Colombia, the Salt Cathedral, one of those places that you do not want to miss when you come to Colombia.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing for the hike up to the Guatavita lagoon, which includes 152 steps.

Had such a wonderful time on this tour. Esteban (I hope I’m spelling that right!) was a fantastic guide, super friendly and did a great job translating everything for us. Miguel was our driver and made sure we got to each spot safely and comfortably. The locations were absolutely stunning, and I’m so glad I decided to book this experience in the end. Highly recommend!

The Salt Cathedral and hike to Lake Guatavita were incredible—made even better by the amazing Tatiana and our awesome driver Alex. Tatiana brought music, fun quizzes, and a great lunch with live tunes. I’m coming back next year with the family and hoping we get Tatiana again—she was a whole vibe!

It was great to combine the two tours since I only had a few days in Bogotá, we were in a small group of people from 4 countries and we all got to know each other. Our guide, Nestor, was fantastic and very helpful with translating or summarising parts of the tour where my Spanish didn’t cut it.

This was such an amazing day. Both the lagoon and the salt cathedral are world class sites. Our guide was absolutely fantastic! Taught us so much about the history and spirituality of the lagoon and was just generally great to chat to through the day. Lunch was delicious at a BBQ place (not included in price but very affordable). Salt cathedral was beyond anything I expected, it is a full two hours to see everything with the audio guide. Plus they have a little train to take you back to the starting point.

The trip was well organized. The transportation arrangements were perfect. We needed to return a little bit earlier and they were able to accommodate our needs. We really enjoyed both Guatavita and the Salt Cathedral.
