After picking up all guests at their homes, our tour starts at 7 am, we will go via the Calera to appreciate a panoramic view of the north of Bogota in the viewpoint, we will contemplate the beautiful landscapes of the Sabana de la Capital, then we will arrive at our first destination: The Colonial Town of Guatavita at 830 am, where we will be for 45 minutes, there we walk and appreciate the imposing white houses, with clay roofs and stone floors. Every corner of this beautiful place will be ideal for taking spectacular photos. Laguna de Guatavita
To reach our second destination, we will take our vehicle and after 35 minutes of travel we will arrive at the entrance of La Laguna de Guatavita, it is a guided tour in a narutal reserve, a Spanish-speaking guide will take you for a walk after two hours, he will explain the ancient rituals of the Muisca culture and take you to contemplate the Impressive Laguna de Guatavita located on top of a mountain at almost 3000 meters high. If any of the members of the group wants translation in English, they must pay at the entrance of our bilingual driver who will translate the tour for you. 5.00From the moment of booking and during the execution of the tour, we felt very well served and accompanied. Carlos Garcia, our driver from 8 am to 8 pm, was formidable. His friendliness, courtesy, charisma along the route made the 12 hours of the tour not feel. He is well aware of the aspects of the region visited, open to various questions, and willing to collaborate in any administrative instance that may arise. The van was very comfortable, with air conditioning available, and very good sound system. The various sites visited were on par with the expectation generated. Guatavita, Zipaquirá, and the Cathedral of Sal are certainly well worth a visit, for any tourist who spends at least three days in Bogotá. We had a great time during the lunch break, despite the heavy rain, but at no time did it put the entire tour at risk. It was a great day that will remain in our memories forever. Highly recommended even though I had visited Sal Cathedral in 2005, and 20 years later, revisiting it, was even more spectacular, a real wonder of the 21st century

5.00Tatiana was a great host/guide and the experience took a whole day (7am to 9pm). Few suggestions- maybe add stops in a few spots while traveling to go outside the van and take some pictures of the mountains, farms and greater bogota Savannah.

5.00Tatiana made this tour very interesting . We love everything we saw and experienced away from the city. This tour really compliment our city tour yesterday . We saw , hike, feel and learn more about the lagoon story . I chew coca leaf while my partner had a coca tea to help with the elevation prior to the hike . The choice for lunch was also great . Good food . Tatiana explain very well and learned a lot of things .

5.00First off, if Tatyana is not your guide, you are missing out. She was kind, full of energy, and kept everyone's spirits high all day (and night). Her English is excellent, and instead of going through long translations, she would incorporate English and Spanish by a phrase or two each, which kept everyone's attention. Honestly, I believe my most enjoyment today was from her rather than the interesting sites we visited. Everything was time perfectly, which allowed everyone to enjoy themselves without guessing when we would be heading to the next stop. With regard to the most physically strenuous part of the trip - the Guatavita Lagoon - don't fear. We had a mix of adults from 20s to 70s and everyone made it safely up and down the mountain; however, if you have an issue with balance, this part might not be for you. For most of the trip up and down, the surfaces are narrow and uneven. If you can get up several flights of stairs without problems, you will be good. We stopped several times on the way up to hear more history and catch our breaths since we were over 10,000 feet in elevation. Before and during the trip, we were asked by our guide and by the company if everything was going well. That attention was very appreciated. Even before the trip, we were given instructions on what to bring, what to expect, and etcetera. Ladies especially, don't forget to bring some toilet paper! You don't need a roll, but come prepared just in case. We had visitors from several continents, North America, South America, Asia, and Europe...we all got along very well even with the language barriers. You become fast friends after sweating up a mountain.

5.00The main highlights were the visit to Guatavita town, the Guatavita park with its breathtaking view of the lagoon, a lovely lunch in Zipaquirá, and finally the Salt Cathedral , an unforgettable place. It’s an impressively well-organized tour that manages to combine many rich experiences in just one day. You really need to plan for the full day (from around 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). I also enjoyed the drive at the start of the day while picking up the other participants : it was a nice way to discover different parts of Bogotá. The hike inside the protected park is uphill, so it’s normal to feel a bit out of breath, but the views are absolutely worth it! Arrival at the Salt Cathedral may be a bit late due to travel time, but don’t worry if the outdoor stands are closed: everything you need is available inside the Cathedral’s commercial area (bars, spa, cinema, shops, etc.). If you finish your visit in 45 minutes, it just means you haven’t yet explored all the attractions (optional). I recommend spending 2 hours and a half there. Finally, our guide Tatiana was both efficient and kind, a perfect mix of professionalism and genuine human warmth. Highly recommended!

The Salt Cathedral was absolutely breathtaking — a masterpiece carved deep underground, blending faith, art, and architecture in the most unique way. Then off to Guatavita, surrounded by beautiful mountains and the legendary lake that inspired the story of El Dorado. Kudos to our amazing guide, Tatiana — so passionate and full of fascinating stories about Colombia’s history and culture. She truly made the trip come alive! 🇨🇴✨
