Your host will be the Rev. Joseph Glanvill, Vicar of Frome, a world-renowned expert in witch-finding. He died in 1680, but will return to show you the places where the ghosts of Frome lurk.
You'll hear about the 12 men who were hanged, drawn and quartered - and whose cries can still be heard.
You'll hear talk of apparitions in Frome's network of medieval tunnels.
And you'll be walking past ancient pubs whose cellars make people feel unsettled and nervous.
For 1,300 years Frome has seen struggle and death, ghosts and ghouls. They're all around us, if you let yourself hear them.
The tour is mostly pavement, but our route will include some steep cobbled streets.
We meet at Christchurch Cemetery, Christ Church, Christchurch Street West, Frome BA11 1EH.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. The tour will start promptly for the convenience of our guests.
Look out for your guide, the Revd Joseph Glanvill, who will be bewigged and wearing clerical robes.

You will be met outside the church door by the Revd. Joseph Glanvill, late Vicar of Frome and famous ghost hunter, who died in 1680. He will be your guide, and will explain what you will see on the tour.
You will hear about the Beast of Badcox, and learn why taxi drivers have refused to drive along the Nunney Road at night. You will also hear about the nearby Gibbet Hill.

5.00I absolutely loved this ghostly tour! It was such a fascinating mix of spooky tales and real history, and I came away having learned so many amazing facts about Frome's past that I’d never heard before. The storytelling was engaging, atmospheric, and fun without ever feeling over the top. It gave me a whole new perspective on familiar places, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves history, ghost stories, or just wants a unique evening experience in Somerset. A brilliant night out!!

5.00What a treat that was! We went on a private Ghostly Frome tour - with Reverend Glanvill. The knowledgeable Reverend covered a lot in 90 minutes - we didn't want it to end:) He shared some fascinating stories about Frome’s spooky past. We loved his delivery and the fact that the tour took place in the evening added to the eerie atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend the tour and Somerset Experiences.

5.00Booked for friends birthday ! Did not disappoint ! The rev was Very knowledgeable on the ghostly pubs , streets of Frome ! Would definitely do again but in the darker evenings ! Loved he was in character ! Great communication / reminders leading up to our tour date ! At the end got a little booklet with the interesting places !

5.00We went on the tour last night and really enjoyed it. It's the first tour I have been on where the host was in character but also had everyone captivated the whole time so people in the group weren't talking amongst themselves whilst the host was talking. He was very considerate of not only everyone's safety but also making sure we weren't in the way of the public. I would highly recommend the tour but it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues as lots of hills and cobbles. i was surprised not to finish back where we started like we have always done on other ghost walks so had to check with others on the walk as to how to get back to the car as not from the area.

5.00Three of us did the ghost walk last night (17 April). We enjoyed it very much. The walk guide was in character as the Revd Glanvill. He had a theatre and a presence about him. The Revd was well informed and made the tour very interesting, leaving walkers come to their own conclusions about the mysterious happenings. Also great to get a history of Frome and to understand what lies behind the facade of shops and eateries, but also left some questions unanswered. It was a great tour and an informative and entertaining evening. Thank you!

5.00Really enjoyable tour. The Reverend was great at sharing the history and ghostly experiences of the town. He was very polite and friendly and great at keeping us out of the way of the locals on the narrow streets. Well worth the money and I'd happily go again. Tips if you are going, it's hilly with cobbled streets so wear good shoes, I think in the ran it may be slippy on places. The group moves quickly so not really suitable if you have walking issues but the Reverend was great at stopping for stragglers to catch up. Check ahead to where the tour ends and park there. I didn't know and parked at the starting point. It was a long steep climb back up to the church.
