What To Expect

After pickup and transportation to the buggy ranch, your group will gather to receive brief health and safety instructions from our friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Then get in your buggy and buckle up because it is time to have fun! In rally style in a caravan, you will travel on rough roads between forests and lush tropical gardens, making a stop at an organic farm. There, you will have an opportunity to taste and learn about Dominican treasures like coffee, green tea, chocolate, mamajuana, and cigars. You will then drive to the next stop on the tour--a 25 ft. deep water cave. After some time enjoying this hidden gem and its refreshing waters, you will follow your tour guide as you drive to the spectacular Macao Beach. Relax and enjoy the waves and sand, surrounded by limestone cliffs, before driving back to the buggy ranch where transportation will be waiting to return you to your pickup location.

    You are going to get dirty, especially in the buggies. The excursion was GREAT! They recommend water shoes but you do not need them. They had face masks and goggles for rent and sale among other things. We drove to the coffee plantation and tasted coffee, green tea, etc… and then drove to the water cave and beach. It was a fun ride and the buggies got super muddy since it had rained but that’s what we were there for. Our tour guide was amazing and took care of us and kept us informed of the dos and don’t which was great since places we went through do try to get you to buy things but he was great in telling us what we should and shouldn’t do.

    The Buggie tour was so much fun, my wife and I went and seeing Macao Beach was such a good experience due to the sargassum situation and Macao beach was sargassum free! Johnny our tour guide was a great guy and made it such a fun experience!
